Usain Bolt set a new 100m world record by clocking 9.72 seconds at the Reebok Grand Prix meeting in New York.
The 21-year-old Jamaican, who won silver in the 200m at last year's World Championships, was running the 100m for just the fifth time.
Bolt beats the previous best of 9.74 set by compatriot Asafa Powell. It must be getting to the stage now where it isn't physically possible to run any faster than this, so how long until he fails the drugs test?

It must be getting to the stage now where it isn't physically possible to run any faster than this, so how long until he fails the drugs test? I know what you mean. I was thinking the same thing when a few moths ago so many WRs in swimming started being broken almost on a daily basis. In that case, they said it was because of the super high-tech new swimsuits. But in this case there are no suits that could help you run THAT fast. I don't know... How fast can a person run?

That's one fast Jamaican. Now if we could get him to run on ice we might just have a Bob sleigh team!

his last name is very appropriate! my thoughts exactly ;D You do realise that United fans don't refer to themselves as 'manu' as your username suggests. Not trying to have a dig at you, but you should take a look at Rais.N.Hell's profile, as that has a clear explanation as to how the term 'Man U' was used as an insult to the Munich dead. I'm not saying that your any less of a United fan than I am but I just think you should possibly change your name so that other users don't take offense. #thumb#
