I still think that we should have an open top bus in the streets of Manchester...... it's the proper way to celebrate it. It is, but I agree that it is too late for that now. I am still really pissed off about the decision not to allow us a parade at the time. Fucking disgrace.

This is a disgrace they could make a stand outside old trafford for those who cant get tickets . I think its just another way of the club making a few million quid I rang for tickets and decent seats are 20-30 quid . So me and me dad have decided to stand firm on the subject and not go !! WHY CANT THEY SHOW IT AT OLE GUNNERS TESTIMONIAL ASWELL IM AT THAT !

It's a fucking disgrace how a parade was not allowed to go through the city! If the council wer so worried about the numbers of people, then limit the number of people allowed in and around the city centre. Easier said than done i know but still to deprive the people of Manchester a victory parade because of a few hundred dickhead Rangers fans is a disgrace!

This isnt a council issue mate its a glazer issue united are just trying to coin in on another pre-season friendly its a fucking joke . I think we should start a boycott the game campaign . Fucking joke I payed to watched nearly all home european games last season couldnt get to the final as uefa fucked up and gave it to moskow . And now I cant see the fucking trophy in my city what a disgrace . FUCK THE GLAZERS THE FUCKING MONEY GRABING BASTARDS !!!!

Luckily I have tickets for both Ole's game and this one so at least they picked one of them to do it in. A parade in the streets would have been so much better but due to the circumstances i think it's a good decision. I think they should do it at Ole's game too though, for the people who can't get to this one.

United would have played this friendly whether or not we won the Champions League and the EPL. United always wanted to do a parade in Manchester it was the council and the Police that axed the plan because of the violence at the UEFA Cup Final. (http://www.cnn.com/2008/SPORT/football/05/22/unitedchampions.parade/index.html). Don't blame the Glazers for that because they had nothing to do with it, I doubt they would have told Fergie or Sir Bobby that they wouldn't allow a parade.
