With constant speculation surrounding Ronnie and Euro's next season could not have come sooner. I realize it is just a meaningless preseason game against Ferguson's old team, still I thought it deserved a thread I reckon we will win it quite comfortably though - 3:1 or 3:0 What interests me the most is, whether anyone is showing it ? Only 3 days to watching our beloved team again

I think we'll have only a few first teamers in this one. A tough 2-1 win me thinks.
Dong to score!

I think it will mostly be reserves playing with a splash of the fringe players. Does anyone know if the twins will be available to play for this one because it would be good to see them play for awhile.

sir alex said he will play his best team available, you do know the reason for this match is cause its 25 years since sir alex won the european cup with aberdeen, i gaurentee you there will be alot of first teamers who play, its good for the players to play in this, gets them in a game environment early on.

I don't care if it's a friendly, I don't care if it's against a less than great team, I don't care if we field youngsters or lose by ten goals to nothing (ok maybe I care a little about that latter part) fooooooooooootbaaaaaaaaaaaaallllllllllll's baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack, more specifically, United's back thank fuck.

Neville leads Dons party
Just 52 days after being crowned kings of Europe in Moscow, United are back in action at Aberdeen on Saturday, and club captain Gary Neville is among the travelling party.
The Reds are taking a healthy blend of experience and youth to Pittodrie, with the likes of Neville, Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes travelling alongside youngsters such as Ben Amos, Gary Woods and Sam Hewson.
Sir Alex Ferguson returns to his former club for the 25th anniversary of the Dons' greatest triumph, victory over Real Madrid in the 1983 European Cup Winners' Cup final in Gothenburg.
The United manager will be delighted to include Neville, who was restricted to just nine minutes of senior action last term, while also handing first-team tasters to members of the Reserve and U18 squads.
Saturday's sold-out match will be shown live on MUTV and MUTV Online, as will the Reds' seven other friendlies.
United: Amos, Woods; Neville, Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, O'Shea, Silvestre, J Evans, Simpson; Carrick, Scholes, Fletcher, Hewson, Martin, Gibson, Eagles; Rooney, Giggs, Campbell

It's certainly going to be intresting watching a good mix of senior and youth talent, and how well they can play together.
