...has won his privacy case against a tabloid newspaper over what he described as a consensual S&M party.
Mr Mosley was awarded £60,000 damages after the News of the World claimed he took part in a "sick Nazi orgy".
The judge ruled that he had "a reasonable expectation of privacy" in relation to his sexual activities.
But Mr Justice Eady did not make an additional award - which would have been unprecedented in invasion of privacy cases - of punitive exemplary damages.
The president of the FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile) had asked for the paper to be ordered to pay a cash sum high enough to teach tabloids a lesson.
Mr Mosley, son of the 1930s Fascist leader Sir Oswald Mosley, says that his life was devastated by the March report of his encounter at a London flat with five women.
The News of the World also put secretly-filmed footage of what it called a "truly grotesque and depraved" event on its website.
The F1 boss did not dispute taking part in the sadomasochistic roleplay at a rented Chelsea basement flat, but said it was consensual and private, with no Nazi overtones.
The judge agreed saying: "I found that there was no evidence that the gathering on 28 March 2008 was intended to be an enactment of Nazi behaviour or adoption of any of its attitudes. Nor was it in fact."
He added that there was "no public interest or other justification" for the secret filming.
Mr Mosley was in court for the ruling but showed no emotion as it was made.

despite the sickness of his hobbies, I do think this is a victory for privacy, the national newspapers have no right to intrude on peoples privacy despite the crime. The papers have to much power and just abuse the freedom that the press have.

I agree with Johnboy. Once it was proven that there was no Nazi undertones to this then it was of absoluely no business to anyone except the people involved. But some of the commentators yesterday were suggesting that the result was effectively a "draw" because the fine was so small it was completely out-weighed by the increased sales such a story generates.
