nevilles crossing was good today and much better than browns crossing nani has huge potential but he need some serious hairdryer, why everytime he gets a ball he must go alone and shoot... evra and ronaldo on left side were fantastic

Finally a win in the Premier League!!! I was worried that it would be one of those days where we just wouldn't find the net, but thanks to that dreadful penalty call we were good.
Scholes was needed today. Even tho we dominated that first half no one could find that killer pass, and I have no doubts that Scholesy would have gotten us ahead in that first half.
Anyways glad we got the three points, and now we'll begin our climb up the table!

Really enjoyed watching this one. Evra was superb (MOTM) and the team really started clicking. Some really positive signs from Berbatov and i particularly enjoyed Fletch and Ando bossing the midfield together. The penalty was a shocker and you could see after Styles blew his whistle he knew he had fucked up, he didnt point for ages but he couldnt think of a bail out decision!
Lovely goal from Wazza!

We couldn't convert our chances in the first half which had me a little concerned about getting caught on the counter since Bolton were doing well at pushing forward. The penalty was a terrible call but turned out to be the catalyst for a splendid display in the late second half. We created chance after chance and moved the ball around really well, it's the flowing football we've all been waiting for. Rooney's goal was great and it was nice to see him contributing to the cause on the score sheet.

Well controlled performance for the most part.
Not sure why Fergie chose Bolton to drop Rooney as he has a better record than all the others against them and continued it in the end today.
I think we saw why he should start ahead of Tevez today, but as i've said before i think competition between those 2 could drive us on massively this season. Berbatov also came to life with Rooney which will do wayne a lot of favours if it continues.
Park wasn't that good, Nani was selfish and although you always got the feeling he was going to put his chances away he never did, massive potential though. I think we missed Brown bombing up the right and Nev only really got up there 2 or 3 times and delivered badly. Ronaldo does need the assistance up the right hand side, you can't just pass it to him when the opposition have 11 behind the ball and say go and score, Nev needs to have the fitness and mind to make space for him.
Ronaldo was as great as ever. A goal and an assist and then subbed off!

Berba: I'd rather win than score
Dimitar Berbatov doesn’t care if he fails to find the net… as long as United keep winning.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker has yet to open his account for the Reds but shone in his home debut against Bolton. The 27-year-old was disappointed not to get on the scoresheet but insisted there are more important issues.
“I really wanted to score a goal,” he told MUTV. “But the three points are the most important thing and we were the better team today. We scored two goals but missed four or five chances.”
Incredibly, some critics had blasted Berbatov after just two appearances for the Reds. But the Bulgarian let his football do the talking on Saturday, with an inspired performance alongside Carlos Tevez and, later, Wayne Rooney.
“I’m happy with how I’m playing, particularly after today,” he said. “The game was good for me. I didn’t take my chances so hopefully in the future I will score.
“I think today was a big improvement from myself and from the team. I’m working really hard to help the team and so I can develop a better understanding with everyone. I’m sure that will happen.”
He certainly impressed his manager. Sir Alex was effusive in his praise for the recent arrival and heralded his ability to control the ball under pressure.
"We learned today how good Berbatov is," Sir Alex said. "You don't need to pass to him in space all the time. You can pass to him when he's marked – he's brilliant at that and he produced some great moments, as did a lot of the players. His touch was fantastic at times."
Berbatov's best moments arguably came after the introduction of Wayne Rooney on 71 minutes, a fact not lost on the Bulgarian.
“What can I say about this guy?" Berbatov said. "Wayne came on and scored a wonderful goal. In fact, when [he and Paul Scholes] came on our football improved a lot.”

An ok performance and nothing more. We still look like we are playing our pre-season. It wasn't comfortable watching us, as although we had a lot of the ball, we did very little with it for 60 minutes. I was a little disappointed with Anderson today; he had responsibility to create from midfield in Scholes' absence and yet he and Fletcher took no responsibility when they had the ball to try an incisive forward pass, it took the Ginger magician to come on and show them how to do it in a cameo performance and not simply pass the ball 10 yards sideways all day. Neville's distribution today was poor and i think that Brown will soon be back in the team. Berbatov linked up well and did a lot of playing team mates in. Evra is going to get a good bumming from me after yet another quality performance and has to be the best left back around.
We should now win the next few fixtures up to the Arsenal game and at least stay within touching distance of Chelsea.

The previous poster said that it was an OK performance.I think thats very harsh.Yes,we were not at our best in the first half, but we still played some good stuff and we looked great in the second half.Solid defensively again, rooney was incredible when he came on.Berbatov came to life in the second half and he showed us why he is such a class act.Ronaldo keeps getting better.I think things are falling together and hopefully this will be the start of a long winning run.GLORY MANUTD!!!

Manutd.com Doesn't every struggling big-name striker say this? In the previous couple of games (not counting this one) i would rather have him score and we win...just saying

Good performance, so for a run of wins! Rooney and Ronaldo are among the goals again, it's looking good now. And Berbatov had a decent game too. No harsh words today ;D
