Fletcher certainly deserves a start (didn't think I'd write or say that) as he has played well. Would like to see Berbatov get a game, him a nd Tevez up front and Rooney dropping back to the left of midfield.
Phil Thompson on sky was talking up the dippers chances and how important it would be to win, so I'd say we have a good chance to put a marker down to everyone in the league with a win and a good performance, especially IF Gerrard and torres dont play, although with or without them suits me with the squad we have.
Really looking forward to the game, and it seems we have no inhury worry's apart from you know who.

As far as I can tell both Hargreaves and Carrick are struggling to make saturday
Hargreaves - Knee Carrick - ankle
Midfield of:
Fletcher Scholes Anderson
Isn't too bad though, pity Gerrard isn't playing, Anderson could make him look like a tw*t again.

According to the Manchester Evening News Carrick will be fit tomorrow but Hargreaves is almost certainly out.

According to the Manchester Evening News Carrick will be fit tomorrow but Hargreaves is almost certainly out. I can confirm that. According to MUTV, Fergie will announce today if Carrick is playing, it's likely that he will. Hargreaves is out.

By the way, expect both Torres and Gerrard to play.
I know we've had the upper hand over Liverpool in recent meetings, but this still is probably our toughest away game of the season. This game is more like a cup-tie rather than a Premiership game and the form book goes well and truely out the window.
I'll be honest, if you offered me a point now i'd take it.

Id take a win without Stevie G & Torres playing , But with them on id still be confident no Dipper excuses about availability If we cant be confident now then there are problems .
3 points hard game but we can do it

Reds duo fit to face United Gerrard and Torres set to tackle Red Devils Liverpool have been handed a double boost with the news that Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres have been passed fit to face Manchester United.
The influential duo were rated doubtful for the big clash at Anfield, which can be seen live on Sky Sports 1 and HD1 on Saturday.
Spanish ace Torres has recovered from the hamstring strain he picked up in the goalless draw at Aston Villa, while Gerrard is back to fitness after groin surgery.
Gerrard appeared to rule himself out of the Anfield showdown by claiming earlier this week he was unlikely to be fit, however the Reds skipper could now be in line for a shock return.
The pair came through a light training session on Friday morning and they have been included in the squad to face Sir Alex Ferguson's Premier League and European champions.

Yup.especially gerrard. I would have thought he would have been devastated to miss a big game for his country.

I'd say Capello would like to shoot Benitez about now.

i think cappelo is glad gerrad wasn't able to play. i don't think england would have done as good as they did with gerrad.
i would love to see a 4-3-3 formation in the future, like we tried to play in the end of last season.
brown - rio - vida - evra carrick - scholes - anderson rooney - berba - tevez
it maybe looks a little bit attacking but i think its worth a try.
cheers
