Ah well. Bad result, time to look forward. This is the first Champions League game this season and it's a pretty tough game too. Villarreal were fantastic in La Liga last season.
Also, Giuseppe Rossi could play for Villarreal.
Plus! This is my first Champions League match at Old Trafford, yay! Took long enough.

Yea i think the best thing would be to forget about the game at Dumpfield and focus on the crucial week ahead and i have a feeling that Villareal would be a tough nut to crack especially with the form our players are in at the moment.
I am going to go for a 1-0 win in our favour with Rooney scoring off an assist by Berba.

I'm looking forward to this one. It should be a good tester for us and I'm confident we'll come out on top for this one. 2-1 for me with berba and scholes getting the goals for us.

midfield worries me because scholes is baned for this one and carrick is injured so probably hargreaves and anderson will start in middle hope for 4-4-2 and with no winger rooney

I want us to be really fired up for this match. Villareal should be warned! They're going against a wounded tiger! Both Villareal and Chelsea can expect a backlash from United.
We should go back to 4-4-2 formation and Hargreaves should start for this one. Upfront, Tevez should be partnering Berbatov as his performance has been more consistent than Rooney (i don't blame Rooney though coz he's been played out of position). Someone has just got to sit out for this one.
Here's the line up:-
VDS Brown Rio Vidic Evra Fletcher Hargreaves Scholes Nani Tevez Berbatov
Subs:- 1) Kuzscak /Foster 2) Neville 3) Evans 4) O'Shea / Park (Park should be in ahead of O' Shea if he's available) 5) Anderson 6) Giggs 7) Rooney

Got a feeling 1-1.
Don't know why, don't really want to be negative but yeah 1-1 for moi. Ronaldo (hopefully) if he's playing.

Great to see the championsleague come back.I really believe that with a bit of luck,we can win it again this season.Just imagine becoming the first team to win back to back titles!!!Okay, long way off,but we"ve got a serious chance again this season. This would be my team to start our campaign- GK-E V D SAR RB-W BROWN CB-R FERDINAND CB-N VIDIC LB-P EVRA RM-NANI CM-O HARGREAVES CM-ANDERSON LM-JI SUNJ PARK ST-W ROONEY ST-C TEVEZ I would have berba on the bench for this one.Simply because he hasnt been playing a lot of football recently,so i would just like to give him a breather ahead of the big game on sunday.I think we"ll win 2-0.GLORY MANUTD!!!

This will be a tough encounter as Villarreal are no mugs; however, they may be missing their preferred strikeforce of Nihat and Rossi.
I reckon we'll revert back to a 4-4-2 formation after that poor performance on Saturday; with either Rooney or Tevez being dropped to the bench. I think that either Fletcher or Hargo will play on the right; Hargo would be my choice as he has greater pace.
VDS is a concern, but is PiG the answer?! This will be a big game for VDS; anymore (significant) mistakes and I think he will be dropped.
VDS Brown Rio Vidic Evra Hargreaves Fletcher Anderson Nani Rooney Berbatov
Subs:- 1) Kuzscak 2) Neville 3) Tevez 4) O'Shea 5) Park 6) Giggs 7) Ronaldo

Reports on sky sports news are that Berba hasnt trained this morning? A fergie mindgame? Plus they were saying Manucho was training well and looked like a monster, could well be on bench.
Im going for a comfortable 2-0 with Rooney grabbing the first and Ronaldo coming off the bench for the second.
VDS Brown Rio Vidic Evra
Hargreaves Anderson Fletcher Giggs
Rooney Tevez
Subs:- The pole Nev O'Shea Manucho Ronaldo Nani Evans

With Carrick out for 4-6 weeks I really think it's time for Hargreaves to get himself fit and play in nearly every game for the next month or so. We need a ball winner in the middle of the park, especially away from home.
