Can anyone explain the Giggs scenario, I am sorry to go on but he is definitely past his best, and even messes up when brought on as a sub and offers very little. (gave second goal away on Sat and gave the ball away or miss controlled it today). I think Giggs WAS brilliant but I think its time we said "Giggs - NO". I think he can still do it against the likes of Hull, Stoke and WBA but struggles against top opposition well if I'm honest even mediocre opposition.

I missed the game.
What was crowd's reaction when Ronaldo was announced as a sub and when he came on ?

Big cheers on both occasions. Well if he wants those cheers to remain consistent then he should score more goals than last time

Crowd reaction was warming towards Ronaldo. As much as I hated him throughout the summer it was good to see him back - we have missed him and so need him in the team.
Utd were better tonight but still not as we expect. We should of got a pen and Jonny should of scored from his header. Frustrating night really.
Our passing wasn't all that again! Much bigger performance needed at the Bridge - Chelsea will give it to us. I want to see Ronaldo in the line up with Nani on the opposite wing. Berb and Rooney upfront (Tevez on the bench), with Owen and Anderson in midfield.
Come on U ni ted

He'll be a good squad player this season though. I would like to point out the contribution of Neville as well. No doubt he is our club captain but i think he is way too slow for our team. Probably he's still getting used to playing first team football after being out for so long but from what i've witnessed yesterday against Villareal, he can no longer keep up with the pace. Brown should be the first choice from now onwards and Neville as the back up.

That game was so frustrating! We didn't convert any of the chances we had. Jonny & Carlitos had our best chances for me. Reaction to Ronaldo was great when he came on but when chanting started it felt, to me, like it was half hearted chanting. Too many flash bulbs in the first half

We didn't performed that bad,we simply didn't pushed enough to get a goal. i liked Park last night and with Ronny again in the team we showed we started to get some confidence and arrogance back with him. The last 20 minutes weren't that bad we went close to score with Evans,Ronaldo, and they saved on the line Now let's hope the team decide to come out and start to win a game

Although we should have won the game, we could easily have lost if Franco's backheel had gone in. The referee missed at least one penalty shout; however, you make your own luck in Europe. As SAF stated in the pre-match press conference, the aim is to reach 10 points; just another 9 needed now! Let's not forget that Villarreal won their last 6 league games without conceding a goal. Their defensive strength was clearly on show last night. Great to see Ronaldo back and receiving a good reception. I thought that Evans did ok; although he wasn't really tested. Park, Hargreaves, and Fletcher worked their socks off; although they do lack the craft of Carrick and Scholes. Ultimately, United are renowned for starting slowly; we're actually 2 points better off than this stage last season!! The lack of goals is a slight concern, but what better place to rectify that than Stamford Bridge.

Lots of positives if you compare it to the Liverpool game. The ball retention was better , we had couple of players coming back and the we actually looked like a decent side playing football.
Park was brilliant last night and we should have had two penalties, Ronaldo had a great impact and both Tevez and Evans should have scored.
We missed Scholes and Carrick last night , despite having so much possession we couldn't do much with it. But we are gradually coming back to our self. Looking forward to the chelsea game.

Should have taken 3 points from this game. 2 blatent penalties not given, and other numerous chances. Could have been wrapped up in the first half.
