If you're a fan of the sport why are you talking such bollocks about Hatton? The guy has a 45-1 record and has held all the belts at light welter after beating everybody at that weight. He lost only to probably the best pound for pound since a young Tyson which is no embarrassment, especially as everybody else that has fought Mayweather has gone the same way. What is this fictional hype you are going on about? The bulk of the media coverage of the Malignaggi fight was relating to Hatton having Mayweather Snr in his corner, and little to do with the challenge or lack of that Malignaggi was to represent. This crap about deserving to fight someone? Hatton is no road sweeper turning up to collect his greens. The same could have been said about Manny straight after he lost to Morales a few years back. i am a fan of the sport and thus not blinded by hatton losing to not only maywaether but yes oh yes collazo, the guy was exposed. workrate dont make him the best. if anyone saw the fight with paulie in the first or second round paulie was hitting him with tadar jabs, i could have told anyone paulie would lose and to be honest after watching it gain and again it was not as bad as the media made out, i honestly think paulies corner screwed him. he got beat so bad from cotto but they didnt throw the towel. hatton was exposed by maywaether thats not his fault tho cos although he is good, there is a difference between good and great, maywaether is in the latter and dear i say manny maybe edging there. ricky is not the same guy as the one who beat kosta, his ballooning will never allow him to be what he could have been.

Malignaggi knew he was getting beat, the only thing that bothered him was the KO going against his record. He acknowledged this directly after the fight. He should have been pulled by his corner against Cotto as well for his own sake, pride will put you in a wheelchair eventually. The Hatton fight was a complete mismatch. Hatton didn't lose to Callazo, he beat him on points and was fighting at the weight above for the first time. Busby, Tszyu had fought about 6 or 7 months before he fought Hatton, this is a typical period of time between fights and he was injured before that and therefore couldn't fight. Why 36 should be an issue for a boxer, only you see. I'm still interested by your notion of deserving to fight someone. Both fighters are current belt owners and of a similar weight, there are not that many fighters available that are champions at their respective weight eligible to fight Manny who haven't already, but Ricky is surely one. You've obviously got a hard on for Manny, but you should remember that he's been beaten more than once, so why shouldn't Hatton be given the opportunity instead of say rematches against Morales, Marquez etc? Who else is he going to fight when he's been made untouchable by you?

imo collazo won that fight he got ricky clean weight class or npo weight class the judhges robbed him. i totally agree he shoulder been pulled out with cotto but with ricky no way, cotto was total destruction the guy had a fractured cheekbone after that tells it all. like i say ricky is good but the guy is not great, he missed the boat all by himself. oh and yes manny would beat him, points or a knock out. imo oscar would beat ricky too but hey who knows after what manny did to him

To be fair, I don't have a hard on for Manny at all, my favourite boxers are El Terrible and The Pretty Boy.
I'm just saying what a lot of non-English sports journalists believe too, Hatton is not all that he is made out to be.
If or rather when Hatton fights Pacquiao, the difference in class will be there for all to see.

Pac man was superb against Oscar-well worth staying up for after getting back from United.
I would love Manny to bash Hatton into retirement. I cant stand Hatton's Citeh shorts anymore and i think its pretty disgraceful that he blobs up so much between fights he is a bad role model for an already lazy nation-he should show some professionalism for once.
Agree with some of you lads that I support the sport and individuals, not any old duffer who happens to be from this country.
