Only free if you’re earning under about £450 a month isn’t it?

Went to Haydock yesterday, first time I've had a session in over two years. Fuck me, I'm rough today. And I have a job on. 🤢 So glad I stayed off the champagne and sambucca that everyone else was necking!

Been watching 9/11 - one day in America. Hard to believe its almost 20 years. I remember it like yesterday. Its a really tough watch. Some truly horrific stories. I was at the memorial 5 years ago today in New York. Its a very moving experience being there. Hard to put into words the feelings I had walking around the area.

Fair play, listening to Mike Parry narrate 9/11 beats any other British person’s account of the day.

I was 16 when 9/11 happened and it does feel like a lifetime ago for me. I remember sitting on the bus the next day and I distinctively remember how silent it was, which was odd because N Ireland had just come out of the troubles and we were all used to living with bomb alerts and attacks. I think it was the scale of it that shocked us. I just remember someone in the class making the point that they most likely killed as many in one day as 30 years of the troubles. 9/11 was the biggest single event in my lifetime, it really changed everything and for the worse.

Does anyone suffer from Hay Fever? I seem to be developing symptoms of it a bit later in life and it’s a bleeding nightmare.

So I chopped a bit of my fucking fingertip off in the kitchen like a dumb cunt. By the time I knew what happened it was hanging by a sliver of skin.
Luckily it missed the bone and took the flesh and a chunk of nail. So the doc says that's great and I've now got two stitches, which hurt like motherfuckers in spite of local anesthesia.
Going to be a fucking boring month of recuperating now. I literally cannot use the whole hand because I can't get that finger dirty or wet. Ffs

Its the only knife I use now. Really versatile and pretty difficult to chop any pinkies off. Good luck!

Did the same thing with a vegetable peeler 3 weeks ago. I thought it would eventually stop bleeding but 2 hours later it was still going. Had to get the laughing gas for the iodine which stung like a bastard. It’s nearly better but it takes a while. The nerve ends are still a bit screwed on it but that’s normal enough. Make sure you avoid infection of it. BTW, the doc said half the finger injuries he sees are either chopping veg or peeling spuds. I threw mine out when I got home. Potatoes in their skins from now on!

Dunno what the fuck happened today.

The human finger has immense amount of nerve endings and blood flow. Literally any small thing can hurt. That's also an advantage, because apparently even cut fingers regenerate to full. Mine isn't completely off and has a bit attached, so it'll take less time hopefully. But even completely chopped off fingertips grow back to 95% of previous shape.

Does anyone suffer from Hay Fever? I seem to be developing symptoms of it a bit later in life and it’s a bleeding nightmare. I seem to have it later in life as well. I started get itchy skin out of the shower and red blotches under my armpits after the gym. My wife told me to take Anti histamines and they do the trick for me.
