Who have people backed for the big one? I finally won it last year after years of trying which was cool and hopefully i'll do the same this year. I desperatly need the money!!! List of runners and riders here news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/horse_racing/7959295.stmI've backed State of play to win and Silver birch and Offshore account each way.

Its off topic but does anyone have any tips today for the Grand National? a friend in work told me to back “State Of Play” because he normally runs better after the grounds been rained on overnight. Normally I pick the horse from either riders jersey colours or name :-) but I’m trying to be a bit cleverer this year and use free bets too from sites like ukbetfree.co.uk or Ladbrokes.com. Just been readin in my morning papers that ‘comply or die’ seems to the wrags favorite. Any members got any better tips?Your friend isn't too far off the mark. Also look at Butler's cabin. McCoy is due here and this horse was going great guns last year until he fell at beechers. Darkness is a decent outside shot too. Don't blame me when they all fall at the first fence!

In past years, I've gone for Mccoy as he's one of the best jockeys, but he's had 13 failed attempts and i've lost faith in him. Maybe this is the one race he'll never win,
(Watch him win now.....)

That's exactly what I think, Chris. He totally deserves to win it, was unlucky last year. But, I have a feeling he'll never win it. I've gone for Parsons Legacy, Darkness, My Will, Ollie Magern and...always forget one...Can't Buy Time. All each way. My dad has got 'big' money on Offshore Account, so if my picks don't look like doing it for me, I'll be shouting for that. Not long to go now. Exciting. Here's hoping to being a little bit richer haha, but most of all, 40 horses start and 40 horses finish safe and well.

Mon Mome. 100/1. Any horse has a chance at winning that race, but 100/1? Haha. Damn.
