Can't wait for Mayweather's return to the ring, don't know too much about Marquez but I think Mayweather will win and set up a showdown with current pound for pound best Pacquiao which would be an epic battle. C'mon Pretty Boy!

C'mon Pretty Boy! marquez is excellent, he took Pacquiao all the way j both fights , first one a draw after being knocked down 3 times in the first round, second fight Pacquiao got it on split decision although i was convinced that marquez won the fight. he is a 3 weight world champion, has fought top fighters aswell and hasnt ducked anyone, this will be a tough fight for mayweather, think it will go the distance with a points victory for floyd

PBF will win, because he has two advantages to JMM. His size, that Hatton couldnt even cope with, and his excellent defence and tactical nous.
HOWEVER
do not for one second underate JMM, hes an excellent fighter, and I think the fight would be to close to call if it was at Light Welterweight, however seeing as its at a Catchweight 145lbs, im thinking PBF will be too strong in the final rounds, but you never know PBF has been away from the ring for a year 1/2 now, and contrary to what he says the sport has moved and he is no longer the top dog, thats reserved for the Pacman!
Role on
PBF vs JMM Haye vs Klitchzko Cotto vs Clottey
and the winner of PBF/JMM vs Pacman (should be a december bout)

He can call himself that all he wants but the fact is his last two fights the major draw has been the other fighter, Del La Hoya and Hatton!

Nah, I doubt it mate.
Hatton's travelling support dropped because of his opponent, Mayweather he had thousands more than he did for Pacquiao.
Mayweather sells fights as much as any other boxer, no surprise he's made the most money from the sport, ever. (Can't seem to find the source).

I will acknowledge that PBF can demand huge numbers from the promoters, and he does have his own following, and can draw, but i stand by my belief that Hatton and Del La Hoya were by far the bigger draws in those fights! Hatton still had the undefeated streak going for him, this coupled with his British Following, and the millions of casual fans he picked up over the years made him a fantastic money maker and Del La Hoya was still very much the clean cut American hero that made him the biggest draw period in Boxing since Mike Tyson, but again I do believe that if it were say a PBF vs Miguel Cotto fight or even a PBF vs SSM (Mosley) fight, the numbers would be well well down. These would both be Super fights, and esp with Cotto (currently my favourite boxer), but each Fighter would draw their own fanbase (Cotto would also have the Puerto Rican/Mexican/Latino contingent following him). But these fights would attract their own respective fansbases, boxing fans in general and a number of casual fans, but the key to this is the "casual" fanbase, thats were the big money lies in Boxing! If a fighter can attract the casual fan he is set, doesnt matter if he is limited in ability. Jesus look at Hatton, he was washed up by the age of 28 and god knows the amount of money hes took from the Pacman/Malinaggi/PBF fights alone must be well of £100 million. Dont have to go into Del Lay Hoya, he was the biggest thing in boxing for a decade, well to Americans anyway.
What do these fighters have in common a) both limited in skill b) could draw the casual boxing fan in huge numbers
PBF, far superior boxer to both men, can not command the numbers these two do.

Hatton may have been the bigger draw in the UK but not worldwide, no way.
In the US, Mayweather was the draw, he was also undefeated and both put their undefeated crowns on the line.
Del La Hoya probably has more fans around the world but yet again in the US, I think it may have been a split fan base on those two.
I get what you're saying about Del La Hoya though and he was probably the 'biggest' attraction in their fight but the Hatton one, not a chance.

Im not trying to prove you wrong here mate, so dont get that impression, again that was just my impression of PBFs fights, and especially with the Del La Hoya fight. I found a thread on a boxing forum i post on, its a thread on who is the bigger draw Manny or Mayweather, should check it out! Seems to be a 60/40 sway for Pacquaio on who is the bigger draw www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=271340

Might join that. The first post though kinda proves my point, it's only the opinions of some that say Pacquiao. "Mayweather vs ODLH - 2.4 Million Pacquiao vs ODLH - 1.25 Million Mayweather vs Hatton - 915,000 Pacquiao vs Hatton - 825,000" Maybe those figures are just for the US though? I'm sure worldwide they are more. I still think because of the hype Mayweather causes, talking about himself, trash talking, he sells a lot more PPV. And the only reason people like to say he doesn't draw the numbers in is because they dislike him personally, they still pay to watch him fight though. I'm glad the boxing talk around here is picking up though

Theres usually always something to talk about, and in the next few months theres a cracking few fights that will get good discussions. Also bad luck to big martin rogan local lad! Think he was harshly done by the ref!
