Reserves are away tonight to Oldham Athletic in the Manchester Senior Cup being played at Hyde Uniyed.
United Line Up:
Amos
Rafeal Da Silva Wooton Gill Fabio Da Silva
James Hewson Norwood Gill Obertan
Brandy
Subs:
Lloyd Weston, Keane, Eikrem, King
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Both Macheda and Wellbeck are away on international duty and Ole has decided to rest young Joshua King on the bench and playing with a lone striker.
Lloyd Weston is on the bench for the 2nd of his 2 game trial.
Will be very interesting to see Obertan make his United debut, and also good to see the Da Silva twins in action on the wings.

Half Time :
United 2 - 0 Oldham Athletic
An amazing 90 seconds in the middle of the 1st half saw United score 2 goals. This is a fantastic performance by United and again a real joy to watch. Gabriel Obertan has been very impressive with his skill, stregnth and speed. Both Da Silva twins have impressed and Sam Hewson has also assisting 1 and scoring 1.
20mins: 1-0 United - Brandy: Hewson threads the ball through to Brandy who is in a 1 on 1 with the Oldham keeper and slots the ball into the near bottom corner t make it 1-0.
21mins: 2-0 United - Hewson: Fantastic work down the wing from Fabio who played the ball into the box lovely back heel from Sam Hewson into the net making it 2-0.
United are coasting and look like scoring more, lovely display from everyone in the United shirt.

Am guessing that Fabio made a run up the left wing from his full back spot and made the cross - at least from the first post it doesn't look like he's setup as a winger.

Full Time
United 3 - 0 Oldham
Attendance: 416
A half decent performance in the 2nd half as United took there feet of the gas, Obertan and Rafael both coming off at half time. After that Oldham played alot better and tested Amos a few times. United finally got there 3rd in the 92nd min.
92mins: United Goal - 3-0 - King: Brilliant pass from Eikrem who found King in acres of space and he slotted the ball past the on rushing keeper. Making it 3-0
No competitive action for 10 days for the ressies now. They are away to Clyde however in a friendly on Sunday.

Going to watch the highlights to this, couldn't catch the game. Sounds great about Obertan and Rafael. And I'm really excited about King and Eikrem coming through the ranks.

Great sign to see Obertan making his first appearance. He was given a good build up ahead of signing and will be interesting to see if he can stake a claim for the first team in the coming weeks.

Were there any non-senior internationals going on this week?
Just curious cause of no Macheda or Welbeck in the lineup. More so on Macheda. Really hoping last season's success didn't go to his head as some stories have suggested. Be a crying shame.

Making it 3-0 Hope Raphael gets a spot on the bench on Sat. Great pace on Obertan. Eikrem's probably my top reserves pick at the moment, always looks comfortable.

Welbeck's in the England squad but I've no idea about Macheda.
