From Manutd.com
"United’s Under-18s meet Blackburn Rovers tonight in the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup.
The match, which will be played at Ewood Park, kicks off at 19:00 GMT and will be shown live on MUTV. The winners will earn the right to play either Preston North End or Everton in the sixth round.
Paul McGuinness’s young Reds have already beaten Birmingham (2-0) and Burnley (5-1) in this season’s Youth Cup but tonight face a Blackburn side currently top of the Premier Academy Group C. United, just two points adrift of Rovers, earned a 0-0 draw in September when the teams met in the league.
Joshua King and William Keane both hit braces during the Reds' last Youth Cup outing, as United blitzed Burnley earlier this month at a chilly Turf Moor. Both will be hoping for similar hauls this evening if handed the chance to shine at Ewood Park."
Should be a good game. Will be watching it online if i dont go home and pass out. If anyones interested i will post the link when i get it.

the game was fuckin boring, it was freezing cold only 225 people or some there thats the lowest attendance i've seen at a reserve game haha i think the youth team playing on the same day and time played a part in this tho it was a scrappy game, bolton were very good defensive, so there was never any real clear cut chances diouf didnt get many chances but he linked up well with febian brandy and obertan got the assist and david gray tapped in, foster looked good and pulled off a few good saves as for obertan, hmmmm next nani? i know it was only one performance but its like he didnt give a shit last night he must of thought why am i playing against 225 people at bloody altrincham in the freezing cold and the pissing rain! he played on the left in the first half and on the right in the second and gave the ball away cheaply a few times, there was little noise in the place i was singin on my own at times so you could hear ole and warren joyce quite often, and i remember a botlon player got the ball and pretty much walked past obertan coz he just stood still and watched him, and he got roasted off warren joyce he just screamed FUCKIN ELL GABBY PUT A FUCKIN FOOT IN DONT JUST STAND THERE!!!!! hahaha fabio played well, won a good few headers against ricardo vaz te who towers over him but for me the man of the match was ritchie de laet, he played centre back, why sign chris smalling when we have de laet? he was fantastic last night, he's just dead cool and relaxed on the ball just made it look so easy last night and i think we should be giving him alot more chances, cameron stewart played well, was unlucky not to score with a long range curler, and most of us were suprised to see him taken off at half time and even more suprised to see him gettin into his car and driving off just seconds after the final whistle was blew ( i thought they meet at carrington and get a coach/mini bus down :S ah well wrong i guess lol) but by the looks of things we wont be seeing obertan in the squad for a few weeks, because fergie usually comes to watch (i didnt see him last night tho) and ole always gives him a indivisual report on players and if he says obertan stood around and give the ball away then i cant see fergie playing him

That can be a problem with some foreign players though, they find it hard to adapt to playing in the conditions up north - it doesnt half get cold and wet up there as you well know. He has shown glimpses of what he(obertan) can do, so id put it down to him being young. Ole and SAF will whip him into shape and he will be fine.
Youth game wasnt too good. Blackburn seemed really up for it. It wasnt a great game, and United had a few chances, but Blackburn took theirs and it paid off. Finished 3-0 in the end,

yeh obertan has show glimpses of what he can do, but so did bordeaux and the reason they loaned him out and sold him to us for so cheap is because of performances last night, like is said tho its only one game and he did get another assist, but apart from his assist he done fuck all, oh and yeh am sure bordeaux aint that much warmer than manchester diouf is from senegal and he coped alright! aswel as fabio who was man of the match along with ritchie de laet
