The England team are on the plane to South Africa, when all of a sudden Wayne Rooney pipes up.
'Boss, why didn't you pick Theo Walcott?'
Fabio Capello calmly replies, 'Walcott didn't show the form required to make the squad- we have other wingers who will supply you Wayne'.
Rooney nods his head in agreement, but then frowns..
'But what about Joe Cole. He's injured all the time, and has done fuck all this season. Why was he picked?'
'Ah,' Capello nods like a sage, 'Joe Cole has the ability to unlock any defence at the vital moment'.
'Definitely boss, you are right,' the rest of the squad mutter in agreement, 'But what the fuck possessed you picking Emile Heskey'
Capello smiles knowingly, and hushes his voice,
'Heskey said if I didn't pick him, he'd fill in for John Terry while we are away.'
