^^^^ I never ever wish any sort of ill fate or injury on any United player. My main concern is that Rooney is not 100% and probably still carrying that ankle injury which he is only going to aggravate as the WC progresses. There is a possibility that he may even miss the start of next season for a significant period of time which will be a disaster for United. Lets face it, Rooney or no Rooney England has zip chance of winning the WC and I would much rather he misses it and starts the season for us. Isn't there a saying that United > England ? That is the worse case-scenario for us at the moment. Capello is going to play Rooney every match in the world cup and I fear that, since Rooney is no way near 100%, he will aggravate this injury even worse, and he could miss the start of the season...

Rooney will be carrying the entire hopes of the nation on his shoulders, as is always the case for a United player. So when Gerrard and Lampard produce sweet fuck all throughout the competition then the media will have the perfect player to blame.

It was Rooney who took us through the qualifiers so, a debt of gratitude is owed to Rooney whatever happens to us in the world cup. If Rooney hadn't been top-scorer, the likes of that idiot Gerrard would never have had his chance to be captain.

Well, at least on the up side if we don't win the World Cup it will be Heskey's fault for injuring our captain and best defender instead of the fault of an United player, I can live with that

They will probably give Gerrard a knighthood for leading out England in a world cup too...

As soon as all United player come home , it will benefit us in our coming season. But Carrick can stay in South Africa tough.
