Bryan Danielson released by WWE for spitting in Cena's face. Le sigh!!!
Anyway, it's TNA's big PPV of the year tonight: Slammiversay. Can't see much of not going on here. RVD will retain over Sting after a Sting gets dq'ed after interferance from some new wrestler.
AJ should beat Lethal.
Angle will beat Kaz in a match of the year candidate.
Wolfe over Abyss, but Chelsea refusing to leave Abyss' side.
Beer Money over Hardy/Misterrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Anderson after Anderson turns on Hardy, and Pope to return to make the save.
Hernandez over Morgan. Morgan to be written out with storyline injury.
Joe will no doubt come down and ruin someones shit.
Kendrick over Douglas Williams after interferance from Homicide/Red or some other X-Division star.
Brother Ray over Jesse.
Roxxi to beat Madison Rayne.
Dixie Carter's promised a massive surprise for tonight, followed by a massive change in TNA as a whole. My money's on Heyman/Sapolsky being brought in as main creative as Hogan's role is reduced even further as it seems him and Carter have massively fallen out over him being in TNA.

Oh god this is actually considered a spectator sport by people who don't fall under the category of sexually confused pre-teen boys? Each to their own and all but honestly, this thing is an indictment of the term "sport", an abomination.

Haha the entire sport of wrestling is dictated by a fucking storyline, it's full of clichés shoved down the throat of ignorant white-trash American hicks for the most part, it's a joke.

Watch some Homicide matches from ROH in the lead up to him winning their world title, if you watch the whole series of matches he has before winning it, you'll be so emotionally invested, and will pop like a goon when he scores the 1-2-3.

Well if he's on such a streak and on shit hot form, then he will become one of the popular crowd-pleasing a la John Cena(I know cos of my lil bro, perfect cover phew lol, naw I do find WWE pure shite, but my lil bro's mad into it), then the crowd will invest a lot of emotion and energy into his quest for glory, and it is therefore extremely likely that he will eventually claim victory in an epic fashion with his signature move or summat ,is it not?

This was like 5 or 6 years ago, and he's not in a company that gets worldwide mainstream coverage like the WWf (Thanks Hitman )so the likelihood you've heard of him or will is slim. Plus VKM would never allow the Cop Killah move.

None the less it might be scripted but it is entertaining for some people and it has a huge fan base.
There has been wrestlers whom have left the wwe because of the story lines ie Brock Lesner.

It's theatre rather than sport really, it's like pantomime, very slapstick, there's designated baddies and goodies playing off the predictable reaction of the audience.

But scratch the surface and check out stuff like PWG, ROH, JAPW, DGUSA and Evolve, then it's more about who the better wrestler is. Yes there's still a scripted finish, but the two guys in the ring are left as to how to get there, and there's lots of amazing stuff in those indy companies. I would've mentioned Chikara in that paragraph too, but some of their storylines are batshit crazy.

i find it cringe worthy this wrestling business.
if it was well acted then i could understand it, but it isnt.
if it was well scripted i could understand it, but it isnt.
if it wasnt american i could understand it, but it is.

Moderate fan, not like I used to be when I was younger (The Attitude Era etc) but I still follow it from time to time, nostalgia more then anything else.
I hate it when guys call it fake and that the wrestlers are a bunch of fakes or whatnot. Ive got one name to respond to that
Brock Lesnar
Pro Wrestler turned UFC monster, look at his win against Carwin last month. Nothing fake about that.
Another name to keep an eye out for...
Bobby Lashley
Doing MMA now, another pro wrestler who is branching out.
Some others include Ken Shamrock, Dave 'Batista' Bautista, Daniel Puder etc..
