3 halves? Bananamath. Makes sense 150% of the time... every time.  On a side note I like the idea. If a team takes the time to travel halfway across the world for a pointless match, (not true in this case I know,) to try out a maximum of 17 players from a squad of 23, then why not make it worthwhile for the manager and give him as long as he needs with a few extra subs? The Mexican national team have obviously benefited from having more time to play together, as have the S.Koreans in the past. |

I also think Greece played quite a lot of matches before winning Euro 04, but I might just be making that up.
