Just a thread for players that impressed you in each game, for possible transfer targets etc.. Hopefully Hernandez's name is mentioned here this evening.

Mexico's centre half Rodriguez looks a decent player. PSV signed him a few years back for less than 2 million. Giovani looks the real deal too.

Tshabalala - just for the name. Would be one hell of a song.

I've watched Mexico twice now in a matter of weeks, and I have to say I feel sorry for the lad Hernandez, his runs are fucking excellent and very intelligent but the service to front man is fucking woeful from the mexicans. They are worse than Arsenal in terms of their build up play and their constant passing with no end product! With the type of movement he provides he should thrive at United with passes from Rooney, Giggs, Scholes, Carrick etc!

Not to mention he also lost his place to that Franco guy would couldn't get the ball anywhere near the goal with 2 free headers. Hope we do actually get to see Hernandez in the WC.
Giovanni did look pretty good, if he keeps that up Spurs will want to keep him anyway. Cracking goal by Tshabalalalalalala, he was pretty lively.

Does anyone else think the SA keeper has real potential? He's 22 and is already a brilliant shot stopper and has great awareness. If he came to the Premier League and got day to day quality training he good be a top keeper.

Zero Franco = Poor man's Heskey.. How on earth he gets picked ahead of Hernandez, I don't know.. Chicharito made some clever runs but the midfielders didn't seem arsed to pick him out. Tshabalala : cracking goal and an even better name . About the SA keeper, he was pretty good in last years Confed cup and impressive today as-well..

Aye, their keeper looks good alright. If the price is right he might be worth a punt maybe. Not like we have an abundance of GK talent at the mo

Yeah theyre keeper is good but I heard the commentators on bout how he's a real extroverted expressive keeper, a personality keeper and that, maybe a bit Barthez-ish, still though the Mexican keeper did a much better Barthez impression, even had the look down, all he has to do now is give himself that weird reverse wedgie.
I'm probably a bit paranoid about keepers due to the yrs after Schmiechel though, fuck it, if he's cheap he might be worth it.

mexico's left winger, the lad who created there goal looks probably the best of a poor bunch on display in that match.

Tshabalala would surely get a chant to the tune of the proclaimers classic 500 miles if we signed him, if we had him starting along with Hargreaves with would be a great day out.
Who does he play for at the mo?

Who does he play for at the mo? Kaizer Chiefs. If we did buy him or Khude we would get them on the cheap I'd say. Might be worth it, you'd never know.

Yeah if he goes on and has a good world cup(could easily be 2 games left) then I'd defo say a lot prem clubs will have a look in, he'd most likely come to our league because of the language. Good show on Sky Sports 1, 'Football's Greatest' it's called, just had Denis Law on talking about the trinity.

Yeah I saw bits of it last night. It's shown all the contenders for the best player ever. Are they going to pick one for a finish or what?

Yeah all the players are coming under the heading of 'The Contenders' in the wipes where they introduce it with the graphic, sounds like they're gonna whittle it down but ya never know, says nothing about that when you press the lil info button and read the synopsis.
Theirry Henry just game on and the first thing shown was a big pic of the handball, haha is career is marred forever, I don't mind not being at the WC much, he's a dirty gooner mostly and that makes me very happy that his image is ruined forever.
