Its a very open group now, anything can still happen. Id go for Uruguay top and France second. Classic comment from BBC commentator on Forlan 'he had a habit of scoring against liverpool though'. Brought a smile to my face.

Yeah French football if fucking bizarre at the moment alright manutd11times.
Theyre shite, in total disarray, and it's hard to see their future, despite a few young attacking players.
Thinkin Gignac, Ribery, Malouda, Nasri, Gourcouff.
When Domenech leaves maybe we'll see these players integrated, but I reckon Ribery is seriously over rated and in fact very average anyway, and Nasri might not come back.
And of course theyve the likes of Paddy Evra and Lloris.
Wenger in November: 'France are an up and coming team with quality young players', or something like it, just heard it on the telly.
It's instict to dismiss it as deluded but when you think about it, in theory, they should have a bright future in comparison to how they are now.

They had the same expectations for Ribery in the last world cup, but nothing ever happened. With the younger generation today, it hasn't changed.

France manager should be shot ! I think he should be shot too, because I can only imagine that he will come over one day and want to manage either an English team or England itself....

O god i would not like to see him manage the national side or anyone in England.
What was wrong with playing two up top tonight ?
Ribery was clearly shit and he would not take him off.

Anybody knows the status of Pirlo's injury?
He's one of my favorite non-United players, I doubt Italy will progress that far without him.

I think Italy are still favourites, whether Pirlo plays or not. They just have it in them to win this trophy somehow.

Yeah Pirlo is also one of my favourite non-United players. Hes the best passer in world football I believe. I was always hoping he would come to United and we were linked with him a few years back.

Just watched the replay of Uruguay - France. What the fuck was all the French side's clapping about? First noticed it when Gourcuff takes a free kick from deep in Uruguay's half. Squares the ball across the box for Ribery. Ribery scuffs his shot high and wide. Probably the ugliest shot of the match... Camera switches to the sidelines to show the French manager's reaction. Clap, clap, clap... Gourcuff takes a shot from outside the box. Again high and wide. And again clap, clap, clap. What the fuck was he applauding? Did he say to himself if I clap enough the whole world will clap with me? Has he taken a self help class? Is this the idiot's guide to management? Someone please enlighten me... EDIT: Apologies people. Man flue all day in summer . Then watched 90mins of horseshit football. Rant over

Maybe the French side were clapping to get the players motivated? Forlan wants to return to the Premier league and has some nice words for Sir Alex. www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6200845,00.html

I can't believe the French FA have allowed that nut job to continue after last WC's disaster... The 3 man midfield was clearly a shambles and what was with the constant clapping ? Gourcuff was poor and majority of the blame must lay at the feet of Domecrack..
I got a first look at Luis Suarez and we will do well to stay clear of him.. It's unfair to judge any player based on a single match but his performance was dreadful against poor French center backs..

Domenech is doing a spectacularly bad job. You look at that France team on paper on there are some serious players there. And then thay play like they have met each other for the first time in hte car park outside the ground.
