Surprised at the Drinkwater comments, my girlfriend's dad is a big Hudderfield fan, and said he was shite for them last season. He seems to be pretty thirsty for success. Oh, I get it.. cos his names Drinkwater ;D

Diouf scored for Blackburn against Arsenal yesterday, made a good run in from playing wide run. Decent finish, could have panicked but was composed.
Welbeck apparently made a real difference when he came on for Sunderland today. I saw a bit of him on Football First, he actually looked a player. Might just of been because he's a United fan playing City, but still, positives are positives!

Unfortunately Asamoah Gyan has almost definately signed for Sunderland, which will limit Welbecks chances.

Why bother bringing Wellbeck in if they were going to sign another striker. It pisses me off. We if Wellbeck is good enough he'll push him out. Lets hope he does.

is it only me??? but i think this season could be make or break for owen, berba and macheda, if diouf carries on scoring like he is, he could easily end up with about 15 goals for the season, welbeck wont play much of a big part at sunderland, but against city he was one of there best players
now i think if they both do well out on loan, then they deserve their chance! owen is in his last year and cant see him getting another contract if he gets injured again or stays fit gets a fair share of games but fails to score about 10, kiko still aint done much since his goal vs villa so this is a big year for him or maybe he might find himself out on loan next season or even january if he's not playing much and berba needs to keep on being consistant or he'll always be linked with a move away,
also berba will be 30 soon and i really cant see him staying here for the rest of his career, and by the time hes 32 we wouldnt get much for him, so do we sell him when we can get a decent amount for him or keep him until his contract runs out??
what you guys think?

I don't think Owen will be here after this season. Macheda, well its obvious Fergie will persist with him for a while yet. Berbatov, if he continued in this vein he could play deep into his 30's, it's not like relies on pace, Bergkamp played until 37.
Welbeck and Diouf have started well enough but realistically I doubt both of them will be here next season, unless they both do very well, in which case Macheda could go out on loan next season and Owen won't be here, which would be fine I guess.

Not related to his loan spell but Danny Welbeck scored a brace in a 3-0 win over Lithuania with England U21's. This was in the European Championship qualifiers where England had to win to qualify.

Good to see Dan getting on the score sheet. Might encourage Brucie to start him the weekend.

Welbeck's first goal was a lovely little finish. Really pissed me off though Sunderland bringing in another striker.
