This is England is the only one of his movies I've seen, but that was fantastic. I'll try to check out some of his other stuff.

Yeah this is England is a top film. Rumor's going around that it is now being made into a tv series which should be interesting.
Dead Man's Shoes is a top film mate.
Think it's only four or six quid in hmv

Eric, you should see if you can find twenty four seven, which is his 2nd film about a boxing club. Bob Hoskins was in it. It's fantastic and I've been a fan since. It was great to see him bounce back after "Once upon a time in the midlands" which was a huge flop (and absolutely dreadful frankly) and Meadows seems to be getting better and better. And he's pretty much responsible for Paddy Consadine, which is a huge plus in anyones book.

Yeah Paddy is a fantastic actor. I didn't like Once Upon A Time in the midlands myself.
I would recommend use watch dead man shoes it is a powerful piece of film.
Have you see that yet Stew?

Yep Eric. Cracking film. Consadine brilliant but the chap who played his brother was amazing. Absolutely brilliant. If that was a big Hollywood star it would have been lauded as one of the great performances in the last twenty years.

Toby Kebbell was his name. He was fantastic. Recently seen him in Rock an Rolla. It really is frustrating how Meadows and his actors get so little recognition for there fantastic work. Some of the performances Paddy has produced has been fantastic. He also writes a lot with Meadows. A truly fantastic partnership ! Something like Cole and Yorkie ! A Room For Romeo Brass was another thrilling performance from Considine !.
