You know what, I have a lot more respect for Mcgreggor after this fight. Even though it lasted 13 seconds he showed a lot of respect towards Aldo. Hopefully there'll be a rematch.

Man, I'm glad I didn't stay up. McGregor silenced a lot of doubters, myself included. To call it a fluke or a lucky punch is doing him a disservice, but there will still be naysayers because of the nature of the victory. I think he'll have to win the rematch before everybody gets on board. Great card overall. All the fights were good for different reasons.

My son stayed up waiting for the fight after the Josh fight. He visited this morning yawning like fuck and said it only lasted 13 seconds lol. |

Over the moon he put Aldo to bed so early. Now no one can say he's all talk.
I thought it be an Aldo victory, but shows how good McGregor stand up game is.
Still...glad I didn't stay up for it

There are strong rumors that Conor McGregor Vs Rafael Dos Anjos for the lightweight title has been signed for UFC 197. Apparently McGregor is going to be able to fight for and defend titles in two weight classes - he's money for the UFC, so I guess it makes sense to use him as often as possible.
Dos Anjos is without doubt the most improved fighter in the UFC over the last couple of years, and will be a really tough test for McGregor. McGregor will become an instant legend if he wins this fight, if he isn't one already, and will surely silence all of the the people who still doubt him.
I still think McGregor is an unbearable prick, though. I would love it if Dos Anjos smashes him.

So RDA has broken his foot and is out of UFC 196, which is a shame, I was looking forward to that fight. But the good news is he's being replaced with Nate Diaz! I don't think Nate can beat McGregor, but he won't run, and the war of words during the build up should make for an exciting fight.
