Typical. been watching every night, once again I stay up and watch England get bowled out. Then I sit there and watch as the Aussies move fairly comfortably to an pening 50 partnership, but promptly fall asleep right before the Trott run out. Missed every Austrailian wicket!!
Oh well, should be able to watch enough of it tonight to see England RETAIN THE ASHES IN OZ!! WHOOP!!

YAAAHOOO!!! England holding onto the Ashes in Austrailia is a special, special thing. Makes me glad I've suffered the knackered-ness of the past couple of days. Better squad, better team, Brilliant.

It is a good achievement, as you can only beat what's in front of you, but beating this Aussie team isn't as good as the Ashes win in 2005. That Aussie team would absolutely piss on this Aussie team, it would have been an embarrassingly dominant whitewash.

To be fair as well, I think the current England squad is actually better than the 2005 squad. Better wicket keeper now, we have the best spin bowler around, Trott is probably one the best around too. Even without 2 first choice bowlers its been relatively easy (mostly) for us and that says a lot playing away in Oz.

I dunno, I'd say the 2005 England were better.

Really? Strauss, Bell and Petersen were the same, I'd take this Cook over that Trescothick, Trott over Vaughan (ignoring captain qualities), Prior over Jones, Swann over Giles. Bowlings a little harder to say as we've chopped and changed a bit this series but each of them has contributed. Really the only weak link in current team is an out of form Collingwood.

I would have taken freddie but apart from him I still say 2010 team are better. Anyway on to the more important things, like winning the ashes in australia in a couple of hours <3 I watched the first session of yday and loved every second of it. Johnson getting hit for 20 in an over

youse just got lucky ;D nah we were just simply shit. its not a good sign when the bowlers can make more than your top order. i guess our test team is in serious serious trouble for the near future
