What about Joe Allen at Swansea? As a dark horse signing?

Beem sworn to secrecy. But expect a young buck Midfielder from a European powerhouse... Got my Charlie Adam shirt on pre-order. Oh... Personally, I wouldn't take any of the Barcelona youth team players, Thiago included. The only way they stick around is if they're not really any good. If they turn out to be studs, mommy comes calling and they trot off home on the cheap. As for other names, Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal, Kevin Prince Boateng, Arjen Robben... Somehow I'd expect to end up with Sulley Muntari or Milos Krasic. EDIT: Not that we need another striker, but I'd fancy a bit of El Shaarawy as well.

^^ I'm guessing at least it's not Hazard? Lille doesn't really fit into the "European Powerhouse" description, unless I have missed out an amazing Lille season.
He sort of left me a bad impression after his latest self advertisement, and all his talk about going to a whole host of clubs (which includes us).
I hope it's Goetze / Gotze, even if Dortmund isn't a "powerhouse"!

A young buck midfielder at a top club we'd have been excited about 18 months ago and would still be, hmmm.....
Schweinsteiger is no young buck at 27.
Doubt we were whipping up a froth at Thiago 18 months ago.
The only one I can think that fits description that is Ozil.
Tatty, ever the cock tease.

Actually, Ozïl is one of the few names that could make me forget about that Dötzen character. . .

Has to be Thiago or Ozil, siding more towards Ozil as it fits in with being linked to him around 18 months ago. Was a lot of talk about us sorting a deal and Fergie went to watch him whilst we played Fulham - I find it hard to believe that RM would let him go though, he's an assisting machine for them (25 in 42 games this season). I won't get too excited but he would be a fantastic signing, to think we could sign him for an extra £15m / £10m instead of Gaitan - it's a no brainer.

Didn't Ozil say he's incredibly happy at Real and would like to finish his career there?

Kroos maybe, or Vidal? This seems to be quite an attractive idea to me, he'd definitely be a major catch. Although, he's turning 25 in May so not exactly young buck, but then again what does young buck even mean... Tatty, if you could answer this question I think the majority of us would be more than satisfied: Has the said player been mentioned in this thread since you brought up this subject? Yes/No

Yes/No Been mentioned by a few. By the looks of things, it's the one people would be the least happy with. I still think we'll be excited if he does sign though.
