Tbh we've done the exact thing in recent years but actually managed to have something at the end of it!
This year we were up for a treble but ended with the league. But it's pretty funny thinking about how they genuinely believed it...and ended up with nothing!

Every club does the same thing, as mentioned above we brag about the exact same thing when were involved in all competitions. It was only last week I was preaching about a treble.

Technically every team in the PL who is also in a European comp starts the season chasing a Quadruple doesnt it??

Would everybody PLEASE stop taking the fun out of this. Say it outloud, starting with huge enthusiasm, with slightly less conviction and hope each time, finishing with abject and total resignation. It makes me smile everytime.
Oh, and I never talked about the treble (quadruple is nothing, you have to win the Useless Cup - Clean Sweep, well that's something else altogether I can get on board with). In fact I tried to get people to stop saying it.
