For all you golf fans out there I think you'll all agree that we witnessed something very special over the last four days.
His composure, courage and class over the last four days was second to none.
Many are labeling it the best golf performance of all time.

Awesome performance.
At 22, we could be looking at the face of golf for a long time to come.
I'm happy for him because he seems such a nice guy and everybody felt bad for him after Augusta. He'll win many more majors now.

I'm happy for him too. He's a real talent.
I not to sure wether he's a good guy, my dads brother played golf with him before and said he's a totally wanker. Big headed and totally ignorant, I was very surprised as he never comes across that way on tv.

Wouldn't know, but he certainly comes across as likeable unlike other british sportsman such as Andy Murray.

They say he's always really humble and reserved about all the hype surrounding him. Very amiable bloke apparently. Are you sure your uncle isn't just saying that because McIlroy destroyed him on the golf course?! ;D

Know to the debate of his true colors. Is he Brittish oir Irish Can imagine it may just have been a bad day. Although, on telly when he's having a bad round he seems to draw within himself more than get vocally angry. Nationality: 1. Northern Irish 2. British 3. "Irishman" for the purposes of thick Americans. The Republic nick enough of our potentially decent footballers, they can fuck off nicking our golfers aswell! I have proof that he is Northern Irish because he makes the tee announcers say he's from Norn Iron, and he refused a tricolour when he won last night!

Yes I seen him refusing the tri colors last night when he won, that action inspired me to raise the topic.
Someone had told me before he said he considered himself Irish, most likely bullshit!

It's great to see McIlroy finally get his first major trophy. As I am from Northern Ireland I can tell you that everyone here is so proud of him. Met him once and he came accross as a nice guy. So here in N.I we are all proud of Rory. As for the nationality bit then I can tell you now he does NOT consider himself to be Irish. He considers himself Northern Irish and when he wins he has the Ulster flag on display NOT the Irish tri colour. He is Northern Irish and proud. Found this on the United website and thought it was a good read: www.manutd.com/en/Fanzone/News-And-Blogs/2011/Jun/rory-mcilroy-interview.aspxFrom everyone in N.I, Well done Rory!!!

produced the greatest player britain has ever seen and we might of done it again with a golfer. The key to his success is apparently ignoring the british press , particularly after the masters when they were saying he was a big time choker and a nearly man at the age of 22. The difference between him and other sporting brits like Murray is this lad is genuinely world class at his sport.
