I loved Ruud. Still do really. I honestly feel he has an argument for being the best striker the Premier League has seen.
the other thing that struck me from the video though, was Rooney's set late in the vid, where he took it past three or four. I wish he'd do more of that. Also, the pass from Fletcher against West Ham (maybe?) - Fletch can thread it like Scholes!

Ruud was the best striker we've had in my time. That sounds controversial considering some of the names we've had, but if you had one chance in a match, I wouldn't want it falling to anyone else.

Ruud was just an amazing striker. Only getting to appreciate him now that he's gone sadly. He just seemed to score all the time. Remember back in the day when you checked teletext it always seemed to be Van Nistelrooy's name up. Or in every report Ruud seemed to score. Just an amazing striker.

I remember the summer we were about to buy him I was doing a paper round. I was getting so excited about this player that I would just nip off down an alley and read the newspapers for a bit. Then it all fell through and you can't believe how gutted I was. Remember, this is a player that I'd never even heard of before, but now I was so emotionally wrapped up in us signing him. Luckily, it was just a season-long wait.

Ruud is the reason I would only wear number 10 during my Sunday League matches.
(Although my goal scoring record was slightly better than Ruud's.......!!)

Best finisher I've ever seen. Probably the best out and out goal scorer the premier league ever saw. I thought our football suffered a bit because of how good he was infront of goal, it was "get it too Ruud" too often but great player.

cant see the vid, still at work. But the thing i remember about Ruud was that the man hardly ever scored outside of the box.
i mean the man had probably 1 or 2 goals from outside of the area, but he still was virtually untouchable! Crazy!
favorite goal: the one where he dribbles the ball from about the half way line, beats half of the opposing team and finished with his usual sublime efficiency!

Luckily, it was just a season-long wait. I used to keep a cut out of an article that linked us with him in my school blazer. I'll never forget those two goals he scored when we were 2-1 down to Aston Villa in the FA Cup. Cue pitch invasion. Sorely missed.
