i might actually put some money on the boks making the final. i dont know why but i do think that they will be in the final. i really havnt looked at the possible fixtures but i think if NZ make the final then they will win it. i only see them loosing in the semis if they play the boks.

I think the Aussies are the only side that will stop New Zealand. Beat them well recently.

I reckon it'll be a NZ vs England/Australia final. That said I've never been inclined to write off the Boks! Anyone else notice how well the minnows are doing, the increase in professionalism seems to really grow the game over time, maybe in 8 years time Argentina will win it? Dare to dream

Everyone is talking about an upset but I think it's pretty clear the Northern hemisphere has done their homework. Ireland, with this fantastic performace, seem to have changed the whole dynamic of the tournament.
Now the Boks will most probably be playing Australia in the Quarter finals, mammoth task. If by some massive performance they get through that the winner faces the All Blacks. It seems the one half of a draw inevitably leads to defeat in the semi's, unless NZ bottle it, again.

So, how are the Welsh feeling, the Irish? All gone a bit quiet ahead of such a mammoth tie. My head says Ireland but somehow I feel Wales might nick it on the day.
England to edge the French
Absolutely massive game on Sunday for the Ausies and the Boks, It really could go either way but Australia are no doubt favorites. After all they've beaten the Boks 5 times in their last 6 meetings. Should be cracking!
Edit: Those are all the quarters right?

I'm reasonably confident for Saturday but I think it'll be close. Wales-Ireland games are usually decided by one score and i don't think this is any different. I'm more nervous about this one than the potential semi. Wales are playing very well, whereas France and England are both playing terribly (England should have lost aginst the Argies and Scotland IMO) Historically we'd fuck this up on Saturday but a lot of our lads have won Heineken Cups in recent years and I think the format of that is helping them here.

I'm honestly really excited about all four quarter finals. And I'm not even a rugby man!
If I had to bet on Saturday's games, I'd go for Ireland and England. And what a semi!
