Arevans - your comment on arsenals "no ridiculous investment." - as a caller on MUTV just said it, their stadium was a ridiculous investment. They got their priorities wrong - build a consistent, trophy winning team first, then worry about the stadium. Chelsea got it right, and city dont have to worry about the stadium for quite a while. Arsenal had a semi-decent team at Highbury and thought that was it so put all the money in the stadium, now it is being shown as a stupid move that will cost them. I don't think the Arsenal investment was quite the same as the Chelsea/City Sugar daddy takeover. Arsenal had success before the stadium without the money, and City and Chelsea are buying theirs. I'd be a lot happier if this was to happen to City or Chelsea..... anyway in the end it doesn't matter that much, United won if Arsenal disintegrate I don't care that much would just rather see it happen to other teams and I'd be gloating about it until the end!

Tell you what else was frightening for the rest of the league. I don't even think we got out of 3rd gear. We just seemed to totally cruise. Sure Arsenal were not great, but you could argue that we let them off lightly! If Rooneys wonderful chip had gone in or if Cleveley had realised he'd had more time, it could have been 10. At least! That chance Nani had when he couldn't quite make a proper contact. These chances could easily have gone in on another day. Wake up call to the rest of Europe, never mind the Premiership.

I will wait until we play city or chelsea before predicting European domination. It is still easier than it should be to get through our midfield, against city with silva and aguero dropping in between our lines we would have a problem. What encourages me the most about this team is that the future looks bright. We have our back four sorted out for at least 5 or 6 years with natural sucessors to vidic, evra and rio. Cleverley has proven to me that he can be that midfield playmaker, everyone was talking about rooney and young today but clevers kept the ball moving and his simple but efficient style is exactly what we needed. The pace and energy in the team is a massive improvement on last season, this team seems hungrier and generally fitter. The scouting and transfer policy of the club has identified some gems recently.

The best thing about the result being 8:2? It completely pisses on City's fireworks and overshadows their result hahahaha

Unbelievable. And it was just a good performance really, agree that it's scary we can play so much better. And we had a fair few 1st choice players out.
Don't care though, absolutely amazing match.

Was reading some Arsenal forum. Most were devastated and distraught, some calling for Wenger's head, but one picked this of all times to say that Ashley Young isn't Arsenal class as he isn't in the same league as Arshavin and Walcott. He also said he was "fucking wank" today apart from his goals.
Interesting.

Now that was worth staying up half the night for! ;D
An amazing performance, we were purring at times and showed the "best footballing team in England" how it should really be done.
My eyes are hanging out of my head at work but do I care? Do I fuck! Can't wait to get home to watch it again tonight!

ROG, check out matchhighlight.com If you register for the forums ( the white link on the top left) you can download the full match in HD as I'm currently doing. As I didn't actually see the game and had to follow it on sky's and the guardian's MBM (which are crap) on my phone I can't really comment on anything other than the scoreline.
8-2...WOWZERS!!!! Never in my wildest dreams would I have predicted that. 8 bloody goals against a side challenging for the league. You don't see that every day.
