Comedy horror isn't new to the world of film (anybody remember Attack of the Killer Tomatoes?) and rarely is it ever mentioned in the same breath as best motion picture, at least from those who matter. Tucker & Dale vs Evil is no different in the sense that it borrows elements from other films lingering in the B category, creating that slapstick feel but with its own twist. Staring a more recognisable face in Alan Tudyk as Tucker and a wonderful performance by Tyler Labine as Dale, the film pits these two bumbling hillbillies, who set out on a good time up at their log cabin, against a group of College kids hell bent on getting their own back on who they think are blood-thirsty crazed maniacs holding their friend hostage. I'm a big fan of Independent, low-key, limited released films and first time Directors, but even I was pleasantly surprised by this from Eli Craig. If you can handle a few cheese-ridden lines, a few embarrassing acting parts, are partial to a few genuine laughs and liked films such as Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland, then Tucker & Dale vs Evil is worth a watch. If I can't persuade you then perhaps Katrina Bowden showing the world she likes rock can.

I watched this a couple of weeks back, loved it. The chainsaw scene was classic, running past the kid who thought he was chasing him with a "What the fuck YOU running for look on his face"
