I was in the Blackburn end for that cheeky quick free-kick. Couldn't contain my excitement when he scored (think Giggs scored too, ending 2 all) and nearly got my head kicked in. Ah-ha, UNITED.
Some of us miss you Becks.

Leicester away, Arsenal in the F. A. Cup, Spurs on the final day. Becks scored some vital equalising goals for us that season. He was my first true United, obsessed with, favourite player. Oh now I'm all emotional, an' that.
Plus the two corners in the Nou Camp, obviously. And that free-kick against Barca, where he celebrated by essentially fucking up a forward roll.
David Beckham: Scoring from 35 - 40 yards before Cristiano Ronaldo had ever been heard of.
I miss Becks too.

maybe im being baised but for me one of the best if not the best dead ball specialist of his time. Never overated always got on with the job. Always in the papers yet hardly ever for the wrong reasons. One of the most underated football players of the last 2 decades. Always be a united legend. Shame it wasnt for longer. Always a legend in my eyes Sir Beckham.

Your not being biased, at his time he was the king of the dead ball situations. That curl was exceptional.

His workrate was exceptional too. GNev was a fine player but he wasn't nearly tested as much as most full backs as Becks was always there to help out. The free kicks, crosses and goals speak for themselves but I was always hugely impressed by the amount of selfless work he did.

Those were the days. Giggs - Scholes - Keane - Beckham midfield. Astonishingly talented. Beckham was always a hero of mine when I was younger.

Giggs - Scholes - Keane - Beckham midfield. How fortunate we were.
