total disgrace. Buffon is Very good goalkeeper but he has been displaced now. courtois, ddg, neur, oblak, lloris are all keepers I'd have ahead of him. If Buffon wasn't retiring at the end of the season he'd be nowhere near the top of that list. |

I mean, I always feel like a bit of a tit getting into ABU sentiment around people but do we truly all simply overrate De Gea that much?

Sometimes it helps looking back to seasons such as the 2014/15 one and wonder how many times he has saved us and where we'd finish. FIFA does it when it suits them – Scholes was criminally overlooked at FIFPro World XI, but Gerrard featured it in 2007, 08 and 09. |

i understand dave has been overlooked while he was still behind casillas for the national team.
but he is their number one now,won 3 player of the season awards,won a few titles (although not the huge ones).
neuer was injured a lot recently.navas,lloris and courtois are not better than de gea and that is obvious as fuck.
i'm more shocked that he wasnt even on the list at the end,than buffon winning it.

Its not that big a deal when you put it into context. He is the best in the world, but over the last year, he played for a side who finished 6th in their league. He didn't play in the Europa. It would make more sense to be annoyed that Romero isn't in the list anywhere!
