Dave will go down in our history as one of the greats if he sticks around and signs a new deal - this should effectively push his appearances into the upper echelons in his position at United.
Regardless of what his trophy haul might be at the moment, which might not reflect that.
The man has almost single-handedly (pun intended) kept us from sinking to 8th or worse over the last 5 years.

Doesn't really bear thinking about how low we could have gone in that Moyes season or the first / second LVG one.

Without him I don't think Mourinho would have tasted Champions league football under united either. He should be United's biggest earner and is one very, very few players to deserve to actually wear the shirt. Be gutted when/if he leaves but wouldn't blame him one bit, he deserves so much better than this.

Points 2 and 3 are spot on.

His partner moving over here is actually a big deal. Good for them. Manchester is so the place to be now. Birmingham the second city pah! I've noticed a definite rise in house prices even a few miles out of the city centre. It's buzzin!

Just watch the reaction of the guys thinking they have scored...some of them start to run away in celebration...only to be frustrated... If we had just a couple of outfield players at the same standard we would be winning shedloads....
