While the missus sits downstairs watching Depp I'm banished upstairs on here (no bad thing). On the wall is a cork board with my concert stubs and I'm trying to pick a top three so here goes but not in order...
Metallica's big day out Milton Keynes Foo fighters Hyde park The police M.E.N
Believe it or not the police fucking rocked that night it was pretty cool watching all these folks expecting a singalong do wop and they got Andy Sumner's in rock mode love it.I say this is a top three but you can't really say your best gig or can you??

Can't say my best but the top 3 would be:
Rammstein at the MEN 2010 Metallica at Download 2006 Iron Maiden at the MEN 2004 (my first gig)
All 3 were awesome. Maiden and Tallica are 2 of my fav bands ever and are famed for live performances. Metallica played the whole of Master of Puppets when I saw them which was cool. Rammstein just put on a hell of a fucking show. Such a fun live band.

Hmmm,
Metallica at Wembley Stadium is my favourite gig ever. It was epic. After that, it's hard to say. I've had some amazing gigs. Machine Head, Megadeth, Maiden, Rammstein. Actually, Slipknot and Slayer together was pretty cool - one of my earliest gigs as I recall.

The first time I saw American Nightmare. The first time I saw Terror. The first time I saw DEP. The first time I saw Mastodon. Walls of Jericho in a squat in Leeds. The first time I saw Touche Amore. The first time I saw Defeater. 3 Inches of Blood in Liverpool with me and 2 other paying punters. Verse in Stoke, mostly for a bunch of mental Italians wrecking the venue and locking the bouncer in the toilets after he tried to end the show because of kids stage diving. The first time I saw Have Heart in some kid in Birmingham's basement.
That's enough for now.

Converge at the Camden Underworld back in something like 2002 or 2003 was pretty epic, they totally destroyed the place.

Little Comets in the Newcastle O2 Academy. I'm not a 'huge' concerts type, I like smaller more intimate gigs.
Or the band represented by a client in our Law Office Small Business firm, The Watchers. Was invited by the client to go to one of their gigs in the basement stage in a local pub in Toon. Dunno what I was expecting really but they were brilliant. Really enjoyed it!

I've still not seen Converge yet... and it makes me hate all my friends who have refused to go with me.

I've still not seen Converge yet... and it makes me hate all my friends who have refused to go with me. Go on your own? Nothing beats seeing them in a small venue. The Attic and Satan's Hollow come to mind. They were mentally good at Rockworld too with Modern Life Is War, better because I watched from the side of the stage there as I was tight with the promoters. The last tour they did at 'proper' venues kinda killed the buzz if seeing them.

Coldplay at Oxygen. They were immense. Didn't want to be the first "Coldplayer" in amongst these serious metal fans but.... Coldplay! Been excellent every time I've seen them - particularly Koko in London in 2005 and Earls Court supported by Richard Ashcroft. Going to see them in the Stade de France in Sept too, the day after I get married. Love 'em. *I am also a metal fan though. Saw 101% Pantera (apparently the best Pantera tribute act out there) last yeah in Reading and it was mental good).
