More rumours about him going to Fiorentina. Good move, right country for him, decent club to be at.

Yeah, I take my Berba-hat-off to him for how professional he's been for us.

So hoping this move goes through. Fiorentina is an awesome city, and Berba should God it in Serie A.
Ideal would be we keep him, play him to his strengths, and let RvP -- Berbatov goal monsoon commence, but that's not happening.
I support Fiorentina now. (If the deal goes through.)

Hearing reports of a last minute Juventus bid. Maybe we can raise the asking price?

it sounds like you go to italy a lot, why is this? just wondering if it's family holidays or you and your mates like going over. or you are into a bit of solo travel. just interested, never been to italy myself. would love to learn that language I don't travel over there a lot really. Holidayed three or four times there as a kid, then went over and travelled about the North for a while of weeks this summer. This was the first time I've been over since I was young. I love Italy, the food, the language, the people, the architecture, the obsession with football, the lifestyle, the general attitude of average Italians. I was over there for 10 days-ish, and met a whole bunch of great people. And Firenze has a big American college student population as well, which is fantastic. All the joys of Italia, all the chat and banter in English if you want it. Can't recommend Italy highly enopugh if you fancy a break somewhere. I'm pretty much completely serious about using Berbatov moving to the Serie A as an excuse to travel there more often. I also always hope we get drawn with Italian teams in Europe. I don't care if there have been match-fixing scandels, names like Inter Milan, AC Milan, Juventus, they have a misty-eyed romance attached to them that I just don't feel with the Spanish or German clubs. Really, really hoping Berbatov can get a move to a good Serie A team. He's a great player and a brilliant pro. He deserves to end his carer on something of a high. Unfortunately people in England will forever label him a 'Manchester United flop' and forget that he is one of the most technically gifted players to ever grace our shores.

sounds great. would love to go boarding out there, see a few games. i had that same obsession with the football til the late 90's or so, only really Juventus left who i still get that kind of feeling about still. like to read books about the game over there too.
fingers crossed this comes off and berba plays in italy. i think people will generally remember him fondly over here. true he didn't make the impact he could have at united but he leaves us some great memories. the hat-trick vs the dippers and that assist for ronnie against west ham are the two things i think of first.

Love to see him at Juve. Always had a soft spot for them, despite the scandal. Remember our battles in the champions league in the 90s?

They play a big part in the 'romance' I was on about. I can't help but think of those games when you mention Juve. Del Piero, Zidane, Conti, PIPPO! Where the hell is Dizzy?

Where the hell is Dizzy? yeah juve had a great side. my favourite italian sides were all the milan teams from the van bastern/gullit/rikjaard days in the 80's til about 97/98, the dark days. funnily enough when zacheronni came over from udinese and milan started heading forwards again i lost interest in em. also loved some of the samp sides from the early-mid 90's.

It'll only be the vermin who paint him as a flop. Remind them he has 2 of what Stevie and Carra can only dream of....(insert jioke about testicles or non-criminal neighbours)
