Kagawa has got more goals and assists then Modric, but still is under rated, can't understand the logic here.

Thiago's a no go after Pep quit. Pep was quite happy to let him go, especially if transfer targets he wanted came in, so I'm guessing this new manager has different targets/a plan B.
Gaitan's still being mentioned, but we're looking to a do a cut-price deal, as per. Can see us passing on him in favour of Rodriguez or Iturrbe with their links to Mendes...

I think i read rodriguz deal would be cash plus anderson and fabio would be loaned as part of Gaitan deal. Not sure if that was just wild rumor or anything. Dailymail i think it was where i read it.

Yep. But more to do with an overhaul of the squad/backroom staff rather than a big money signing.

I'd be happy with the backroom staff part as well. Mike Phelan, loyal as he has been, is not the one to promote good attractive winning football. No offense.

Yea likewise, you rarely ever see Phelan doing a great deal other than sitting there a lot of the time. I still think a big CM will come in though and I can't see past Modric, will be big bucks but worth it. Modric, Kagawa, Rodriguez, Clyne, maybe another youngster such as Powell. Personally hoping that the following leave in the summer - Berbatov, Park, Giggs, Macheda, Anderson, Bebe and are replaced with young, energetic and enthusiastic players.

agree with departures but the arrivals are whishful thinking mate. the price of modric would be the total or more for clynne, rodriguez and kagawa, those 3 are probably 2 million, 16 million and 8 million totalling 26 million, wheras modric would cost 30 million or more. the 26 spent and then we can use what we raise to get a defensive mid

I haven't seen much of this guy, is he the real deal? Or is he another hyped up midfielder who will come in and end up doing fuck all like Anderson.

He's a FANTASTIC player eric, the 6/7 times I've watched Dortmund this season he's performed better than Gotze, easily.
Fantastic feet, quick, creative, a clinical poacher-esque finisher with an eye for a shot.
Also, he seems very well grounded, much like Park, and enjoys his football.

I think Kagawa's agent saying the player is going nowhere 'so far' is a bit of a giveaway.
