Like him, would also like to see him here, but highly doubt we'll get him. Probably enquire and back off when stupid amounts are asked from us.

Wouldn't mind him here at all. Creative, energetic, talented on the ball. I reckon Dortmund will tag him at 20 million though, just for the fuck of it.

A talented, goal scoring, goal creating, Asian (therefore cash cow) 23 year old, out of contract in 12 months so relatively low transfer fee, midfielder? Shouldn't even be a question for me, very much like what I've seen of him, we should have Gill working on the deal now I'd say. Also a perfect "Glazer era" signing; young, good sell on potential, pretty low cost (wouldn't be more than 12-15 million), could have vast marketing potential and help us remain at the top of the Asian market, this really is a deal I could imagine us doing.

Said so in the other thread way back, on paper this deal ticks all the boxes.
He's a cracking player too, 16 goals and 11 assists this season.

Cologne, Germany — Borussia Dortmund midfielder Shinji Kagawa has been offered a three-year contract by Manchester United in the English Premier League, German newspaper Bild said in its Friday edition.
According to Bild, Kagawa, whose Borussia Dortmund team has won back-to-back Bundesliga titles, is being offered a three-year deal worth about ?6 million and "only needs to sign the contract."
Dortmund has apparently made an offer of about ?3 million, double Kagawa's current salary. "That will not be enough for Kagawa," the article said.
God, please get this kid. Budget wise too this deal is United through and through!

apparently we have even offered him a contract, we have tracked him for 24 months so if we dont get him i'd be suprised. as many have said he ticks all the boxes. asian so helps with marketing, good price and above all else he can play and really be a first team player

Bild claim Manchester United have offered him double the money, €6m a season on a three year deal, and that Dortmund would be looking to receive €15m for the player.
If Bild are right a formal offer to Dortmund could be made as early as this week.
If we get this done, and it's relatively early, i'll have a very happy off season.

It would be a good start to what should (hopefully) be a busy summer. As the first of three or four central midfielders, I'd take it.

Budget wise too this deal is United through and through! It doesn't make a lot of sense, you cant offer a player a contract before a fee has been agreed, that's tapping up. The only thing we can do is have unofficial talks with his agent, a neat bypass of that rule, but there's certainly no official contract offer. Well unless a fee has been agreed. I think its safe to say we could offer wages far bigger than Dortmund could without breaking a sweat.

Appears he has rejected a new contract at Dortmund. We would still need to sign at least one other midfielder - an out and out central midfielder if we were to sign him.
