Was this entire thread just copied and pasted from the Samir Nasri thread of last summer? I remember the exact same things being said, namely Arsenal wouldn't do business with them, it will depend on whether the player wants money or trophies, he won't end up leaving...
IF, there is any shred of truth to this, it will end up exactly like the Nasri situation. We will make inquiries, the player will become open to a move, before we can seal the deal another wealthier flashier club will end up nicking him from under our noses. There is absolutely no way that RVP is coming.

We never compared Samir Nasri to the awesomeness of Zooey D and Katy Perry.

Van Persie was interviewed about his future after Arsenals game and he said 'whatever happens i will always love Arsenal'. Well, thats what you want to hear if you're an Arsenal fan isn't it! I expect he'll be wearing blue next season.

heard juve are readying a a 70mil bid for RVP, So i guess he will go to City at 85Mil. esp since his want for trophies will be fulfiled there with Mancini looking to get 7 trophies in the next 4 years

Arsenal sell only to city, they are ok with city taking their spot, not united also with this " i will always be an arxsenal fan" talk, it would def mean he is most likely off to city...
still we can dream on

I hope we don't buy him. Chicharito will be back fresher next season and score more than Van Persie. And Welbeck WILL become the next Andy Cole.

@ginger- agreed, still never hurts to have someone like RVP.
although i suspect he has stayed injury free and scored that many goals to see if City would come sniffing around... trying to remember when was the last time he went so long without any injuries

@ginger- agreed, still never hurts to have someone like RVP. It does. We can't have 4 strikers and a Kagawa in the squad if we want to play a 4-2-3-1. That will either mean Hernandez ending up in a Berbatov situation and leaving next season or Welbeck not getting enough games and stunting his development. Thats besides the fact we'll be wasting money in transfer fees as well as wages in an area of the pitch where we're well covered.

Straight choice between Hernandez and Robin van Persie there is only one correct answer. It ain't the Mexican.

Actually, I was. Hernandez is a good poacher but I don't really like him that much in our team. Too poor outside the box for my liking.

I'm with Bestie here, he was labelled, maybe unfairly, incredibly skilled etc when most of us know he's jus really quick and a good finisher - an impact player when you need a goal.
He gained such a reputation where, from my perspective, many of his goals were based solely on his movement and an uncanny knack to get it in by any means necesasary. If he had the touch of Owen, with his capabilities, he'd be world class.
