Despite Roberto Mancini’s men lifting the Premier League title last term and a number of players making the move from Arsene Wenger’s side to the Etihad Stadium in the past, Bob van Persie has ruled the possibility out for his son.
“Manchester City is not an option. It's impossible to play for another club than Arsenal in England,” he told Spanish daily Mundo Deportivo.
Barcelona and Real Madrid have also been rumoured to be monitoring the situation, but a move to either Camp Nou or the Santiago Bernabeu is not in the 28-year-old’s thoughts either.
"It's not logical to go to Barcelona. They already have Lionel Messi over there. Real Madrid also doesn't fit into the picture."
Van Persie maintains his club future will be resolved after the end of Euro 2012.
Hmm. So that leaves Inter, Milan, Juve, PSG and Bayern as the most likely options.

So RvP listens to his Dad, Mom and his wife on his football club destinations but not to his Agent. I will say that he should be blessed by the highest powers if that be true. I think i will go and bet that he is of to Juve/PSG. now which is more richer....

Former England and Lancashire star Neil Fairbrother fuelled speculation that Robin van Persie is considering a move to Manchester after claiming he saw the Arsenal striker lunching in Hale. Blues boss Roberto Mancini has made Van Persie his No 1 target this summer as he looks to make world-class additions to his Premier League champions. United counterpart Sir Alex Ferguson is also keen on last season’s Premier League leading scorer, who is out of contract next summer. Van Persie is set to make a decision about his future following Holland’s elimination from Euro 2012. Fairbrother, the former agent of Freddie Flintoff, wrote on his Twitter account yesterday: “Just grabbing some lunch in Hale – RVP just walked in! long way from Emirates!!! #redorblue?” Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger remains convinced he can keep hold of the Dutch international though. “I am certain Robin will remain with us,” he said. Okay, it's official from RVP. Let's go, full mobilisation.
I talk a lot about "fear factor" in our signings. This one would cause genuine shockwaves if we could get him. Full speed ahead!

Jim, we need to start the whispering in Wilshire's ear, but i doubt he's ready for the off. I give that apple a few more seasons to ripe. the writing is on the wall for him though. Viera, Henry, Cesc, Nasri, and now Van persie........ rats off the sinking ship.
as for the concept that he's had his best season. i dont necessarily agree. i think he would be rotated enough if he came to us, that he prob wont get as injured (assuming most of his injuries were stress related) and we could get a decent return from him.
the counter-argument being with our recent history with injury prone strikers (ah la Saha & Owen), maybe his fortunes may not improve. it definitely is a risk, regardless of where he ends up.
