I know my fair whack with IT. did a course in college, lack of willing to help and the problem of a pub near the college led to me losing interest, Looked into night time courses though, just with work not really made a choice on anything as of yet.
Go for it jim, good money in these sort of qualifications just a case of getting out there with it.

i don't see it as a career option really it's more like a hobby, wanna be able to put a rig together and customise it, be able to troubleshoot etc.
do you know owt about this cisco course, how it differs from A+ etc?
on the career side of things i thought the jobs didn't really pay well anymore unless you are top-end or learn to write code etc?

if bestie reads this, any chance you have the link for that nifty lil basketball game you posted months back, and also do you have the link for that site that lets you put quotes on images [often used for comic purposes], that's all mate, oh and can you lend me a score.

They are only similar in that they are in IT. look at it like A+ (which is a good entry point for other things and counts towards some Microsoft qualifications) is Brighton & Hove Albion and CCNA is Manchester United. CCNA isn't something to jump into without either MCSE or alot of experience of using Cisco kit. the A+ is defiantly a good starting point if you have no paper qualifications.
