No, if some miracle allowed Xabi Alonso to become available for us, I'd take him. So Martinez and Alonso!

I bloody hope the rumours stay dead. Thiago or basically any Spaniard apart from Martinez or Alonso can fuck the fuck away off. I personally feel Iniesta is the perfect player for us, also Alba. PS: De Gea.

Iniesta is a standard Spanish whinge. Used to like him but leave him to tap up *COUGH* "Fabragas" *COUGH* players for Barca.
After seeing Alba's theatrics for Spain during the Euro's, he can go to Barcelona. Suits them to the ground, little niggling fouls to break up the play and a moaning, crying, cheating, geyt.
De Gea's already here, and we're converting him out of the Spaniard-mould and into the United-mould. Plus, he looks like a Llama.

GAWD, he looked class again last night.
That Barca team, along with Madrid, are becoming (and maintaining their status) as pretty scary prospects for the rest of Europe in the next few years.

What have we learned from Euro 2012? That Alba is a diving fullback. Not needed.

A diving fullback, yes. Suited to Barca, yes. Will make them even stronger, certainly.
Shit news for the rest of the European clubs.

I learned Alba has all the tools necessary to be the best in his position for the next 10 years. Gutted we weren't sniffing around.

Yeah, Alba is going to be one of the best in the coming years. He already looks top drawer. Apart from the falling of course.

The rumour that won't die, because there's more than an element of truth to it:
Manchester United are stepping up their efforts to capture Leighton Baines and want the 27-year-old to fly out on their pre-season tour on 16 July. Full story: The Mirror
