5m for Sturridge is crazy. Worth a punt. defo worth a punt ,but not sure if we can offer him regular play and at his age that's what he would be looking for. Besides i always felt that he'd rather go for glory all himself than look at team play IMO

Chicharito, Welbeck, Rooney > Sturridge, but 5m for a fourth striker with decent premiership experience? Absolutely, I'd take him.

I'd absolutely take Sturridge for £5 million. We'd have 3 English strikers and a foreign super-sub. Last time that happened, we won everything. . .
(Unfortunately, yes, I'm banking on Berbs to be off-loaded to some rich club soon.)

Nothing on the credible sources so far, I'm going to wait for some official news. How much money did Chelsea make from winning the Champions League , anybody know? Cos they operate in losses, yet they would have spent 70 million on players if Oscar is also true.

Sky says no offers in from Chelsea or Spurs.

I'd dabble to say Sturridge has a better outside the box rip than chica and welbeck but our boys are far far better with their movement and finishing.

We'd have 3 English strikers and a foreign super-sub. who's this foreign super sub? we signed someone while i nipped out of the house? rooney > sturridge chico > sturridge welbeck > sturridge and i rate sturridge, would have taken him to the euros. but he's not better than either of these 3 and he's not better than valencia when he plays wide right. on top of that he's recently played for city and the rents and is reckoned to have a bit of an attitude.

Nobody is asking who the 3rd English striker was then?
Because I know somebody who played for us at that time who definitely wasn't English.

i think he'd av meant 4 good strikers including a super sub rather than the bit about 3 of em being english

Confusingly worded if so. He didn't even say 3 good just 3 English lol.
Sturridge seems a twat to me though, and I'd agree he's worse than all of our current forwards.

Look, I didn't want to just come out and say "2 black dudes, a white guy, and a furr'ner. . ." okay?! So I counted Yorkie as English. @ jim - Hernandez is the foreign super-sub, obviously. But Sturridge would be on the bench beside him like.

Sturridge still has meningitis, let the poor lad get rid of it at least before thinking about making him 4th striker. Scary thing though, meningitis.

Apparently Welbeck's contract negotiations have hit a snag. Not good. (The Sun) Also, Fergie was spotted in London, so The Sun has made the automatic assumption that he is there to sign RVP. Also talk of an official 20 million bid for Moura from Daily Mirror.
