I am shattered inside. Sure he was off the pace a bit and everything, but a deal concluded for him so quick? Shattered. Still think he could have been a Cup starter. Love you dearly 3 lung. Do well lad. Will never forget that 90th minute winner against Wolves. And the winner against Liverpool. And the goal against Milan. And ALL those goals against Arsenal. I'm getting all misty eyed now. EDIT: And the tap in against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

£5mill is about right. He only cost us £3.75mill when we signed him, and he's the wrong side of 30. Decent bit o' business. ^^ this

Do well lad. Will never forget that 90th minute winner against Wolves. What is the point in keeping a player who's on decent wages if he's only going to be a cup starter, even that's not guaranteed? We need squad players who have the ability to come in and do a good job - that's what he's been brilliant at in the past especially when playing in the CL. Last season he seemed to be a passenger whenever he played, even more so in the bigger games. It's hard to criticise him when his job has been to play the odd game here and there and do a certain job with pretty much no consistency. It seems he's no longer effective at this so it makes sense to do business with QPR if we can get £5m for him. This could effectively be the deal that allows us to seal a deal for Moutinho.

For those getting a bit down by this, imagine this situation. We HAVE to win at the Boo Camp to win the league. Who would you rather see in midfield: Park or Moutinho?

Tatty - Its not necessarily an either/or thing, is it? We could play Moutinho while still having Park in the squad. He'll certainly contribute more than Hargreaves or Saha did!

Sky Sports understands Manchester United defender Ezekiel Fryers has agreed a deal to join Tottenham. Sky Sports revealed back in April that Tottenham were leading the chase for Fryers after he turned down a new deal at Old Trafford. Fryers' contract expired earlier this summer and United boss Sir Alex Ferguson admitted earlier this week he was in the dark over the player's future The 19-year-old, who has come through the youth ranks at United, made six first-team appearances for the Red Devils last season, making his full debut in the Carling Cup win over Leeds. Tottenham are thought to be long-term admirers of Fryers with his versatility in being able to play left-back or centre-back making him an attractive proposition. New Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas has given the go-ahead to push through the move and Fryers is expected to become the latest new face at White Hart Lane. Fryers is believed to have agreed a four-year deal at Tottenham and is expected to finalise the move in the next few days. United will be due a compensation fee for Fryers and, if they are unable to agree a deal with Spurs, the move could go to a transfer tribunal to decide the fee for the player's switch to North London. www1.skysports.com/football/news/11667/7875696/Fryers-agrees-Spurs-move

maybe im grasping here, but i dont see the Moutinho-Park link. Park played mostly on the wing and cut in to help out the CM, Moutinho is strictly a CM.
Could the park departure be making room for another winger/forward? (ie: Lucas)
Edit: i do admit my initial statement is a bit inconsistent. there is some link, but u get what im saying i hope.

QPR screwed us on the last day and we have loaned one and are willing sell another.
Is it to make sure that scenarios doesn't occur again??

As much as I appreciate 3 Lung's earlier, vital contributions, he's played more like a headless chook than a game winner more recently so I thank him for his sterling efforts and wish him all the best at QPR.

He was a bit part player last season who never really contributed a whole lot and when he did play he didn't look like the old vibrant Park.
I think Fergie has made a good decision, as mention before he's the wrong side of 30 and were getting five million for him which isn't half bad.
Was a fans favorite throughout his career for obvious reasons, his effort and commitment on the pitch was second to none.
Top bloke, will always be remembered round O.T.

Think the Park deal is best for all parties. I want to thank him for an immense contribution. Very very underated player by opposing fans and sometimes by our fans aswell. 3.5mill was a snip. All the best mate.
