Transfer rumours have gone eerily quiet. Normally means we are about to make a huge transfer! Or the dreaded Gill/Fergie quote " No value in market". Have to say I would like another 2/3 players in and a clear out of the sub standard players. Nobody's really done any earth shattering business so far. Perhaps now that the Euros are finished and the tabloids have run out of "Hot Babes at the Football" stories the transfer hype will ramp back up. To be followed by Fergie pouring cold water all over the place with a value statement. |

Regarding Pogba, I read that he only became a free agent on Sunday so maybe he they were waiting for that. Good call, finalised today! |

So that would leave the squad as this: 1 David de Gea 3 Patrice Evra (vice-captain) 4 Phil Jones 5 Rio Ferdinand 6 Jonny Evans 7 Antonio Valencia 10 Wayne Rooney 11 Ryan Giggs 12 Chris Smalling 13 Park Ji-Sung 14 Javier Hernández 15 Nemanja Vidić (captain) 16 Michael Carrick 17 Nani 18 Ashley Young 19 Danny Welbeck 21 Rafael 22 Paul Scholes 23 Tom Cleverley 24 Darren Fletcher 25 Nick Powell 26 Shinji Kagawa 34 Anders Lindegaard 40 Ben Amos With just 5 backup players left after an 18 man matchday squad is picked (6 if you include Fletch but hes still out). So if we had a similar injury crisis again we would end up playing the Reserves and Youth players....that makes sense. Still, might make a few appreciate Rafael, Carrick, Park & Giggs if it did happen. Cant say it would help our chances of winning the league back tho |

I think Anderson will stay, he'll be in the last chance saloon but he'll stay. I'm sure Fletcher will stay (United do seem to stand by their players), but I just don't see him ever being a midfield force again. |

Or...we sell Anderson, write off Fletcher (and if he recovers enough to contribute anything it's a bonus) and buy a few good young midfielders to actually replace them.
Replace Berbagol with RVP (i know) and do what you want with Macheda and Bebe. It's not like they've contributed to anything in the last 2 years.

Yea i agree , focus on getting players this month and then during pre season see them and the we can offload people in august if really needed. Also we ca chose some player swap or deal package in case we are intent on selling...

it's only right that after Steve Bruce ( a manager who loves to lend a player or two off us), joins Hull (a team who loves to lend players off us)..... and immediately lends a player off us.
