The article got some interesting comments from RP fans, they seam to rate the lad very highly and were surprised by the low fee.

Heinze and Tevez's (off-field) United records, the Hand of God episode, Maradona in general and being locked up in a Spanish jail for fighting with locals over their support of the opposition during the Falklands war are good enough reasons for me to hate the Argies. This is one rumour I hope turns out to be just that!  |

All right boys, just heard Tim Vickery's views about this guy. He's pretty fond of him and says he can play in the same sort of role as Carrick. Defending comes more naturally to him than Carrick and he has very decent distribution. He has represented Argentina at U-17 and U-20 levels. Last year was the breakthrough year for him when he established himself in River's first team. However, that was only in the Argentine second division. Vickery reckons he needs at least another year at the top before he's ready for a move.
Interesting.
EDIT: Sounds like a Possebon types to me.
