Manchester United are chasing the signature of rising Spanish star Isco. The 20-year-old winger is the jewel in the crown at Malaga but the club’s financial situation means they will listen to offers. Spain Under-21 star Isco is considered one of the brightest talents in his homeland and, after scouting him, United have made discreet enquiries about his availability. United will now wait to hear whether or not the youngster is open to a move and what it would take to land him. A formal approach could even follow this week. Isco cost Malaga around £4million when he joined from La Liga rivals Valencia a year ago. His contract still has another four years to run and includes a buyout clause of around £20m. Isco was part of the Spain squad which was expected to challenge for the Olympic title but crashed out in the group stage. www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-chase-spain-and-malaga-1220058Could the Moura smoke be clearing?Or is Isco an alternative option?Signing this lad appears to be right up our street, young, resale value and £10 to 15m cheaper than Moura.I havent seen him play but it sounds as though he is highly regarded by many. Our interest, along with a few others has been mentioned on a few sites.Anyone had a good look at him?Would he improve the first team? He looks like a Spanish Ashley Young from the youtube clips. nz.sports.yahoo.com/football/news/article/-/14489072/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francisco_Rom%C3%A1n_Alarc%C3%B3n

AH HERE WE go again. lets anounce it so that shity and the chavs along with barca and real can throw hideous money at them. WELL DONE as it will be yet another player linked to united that doesnt come. we are turning in to a feeder club and as long as this happens we wont win another european cup, prem league, fa cup, or world club cup SIMPLES

I hate to be sceptical, but this looks like another attempt from the Mirror to fill the column inches.
We'll be linked with every player under the sun before the transfer window closes.

Place this post at the end of this thread in a few weeks.
Page 100 " maybe we were never in for him, but goes to show you cannot believe a word you see on twitter or in the daily mail - but agents fees again!? 6 million too - PSG/Chelsea-/city can have him'

once again not what we need, but if this deal is under 8 million then why not. 4 wingers competing for 2 spots is healthy

Never heard of him. A quick look on youtube and he looks like he plays from the left and is right footed - so like quite a few of our players already. Don't see this as a realistic transfer target but then didn't anticipate most of the ones that we have been in for.

Manchester United have made a formal approach to sign Isco from Malaga, according to the latest reports in Spain. The 20 year-old is an attacking midfielder who was often deployed on the left wing last season, and the officials at the club have already issued a hands off warning. However this could mean little, as Malaga are still in financial trouble, and were forced to sell their star player Santi Cazorla to Arsenal for just £11.7million. Isco cost Malaga around £4million when he joined from La Liga rivals Valencia a year ago. His contract still has another four years to run and includes a buyout clause of around £20m. Isco was in Spains Olympic squad which was expected to challenge for Gold, but the Spaniards crashed out in the group stages. freshfootball.co.uk/#/blog/4560568303/Man-Utd-make-formal-approach-for-Isco/3190255

Highly-rated Malaga playmaker Isco admits he would relish the chance to continue playing under departing coach Manuel Pellegrini. Pellegrini will leave Malaga following this weekend's final round of Primera Division matches and has been closely linked with the vacant post at Manchester City. There has also been plenty of speculation about Isco's future at the Andalusian club, with Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and several English clubs, including City, thought to be coveting the 21-year-old. Isco insists he will not be rushed into a decision about where he will ply his trade next season, but admits he would be happy to still be under the orders of Pellegrini. "He's been my footballing father and I know that he likes me and, for me, of course I would like to continue with him because he's given me all the confidence in the world." Isco On the subject of which club he might move to, Isco says the key thing for him is the amount of time he gets on the pitch. He said: "It's a very important decision for me and I don't want to get it wrong. "I have doubts because I want to play, wherever it is, and that's the most important thing. I don't want to regret it after not getting many minutes." He added: "I'm not closing my door to anyone but my priority is to play and I don't want to be on the bench. We'll see what happens in the summer." www1.skysports.com/football/news/11679/8738766/Malaga-s-Isco-would-relish-the-chance-to-continue-playing-under-Manuel-Pellegrini
