Currently 1-0 with about 35 mins gone, Byrne the scorer.
Daehli's close control and manipulation of the ball is something else, running the show so far.

Nah, not in the squad today, not sure if he's injured or what.

What about Junuzaj (spelling?)? Is he playing?

Januzaj isn't there either, he's been missing for a few weeks though so maybe he's got a knock.

2-0 Daehli, tidy finish into the bottom corner.

FT 2-0
Much more even second half, Sunderland had a few chances on the break that Gollini did well with before Daehli wrapped things up in the final minute of normal time, well deserved 3 points for the young uns.

Daehli s one to be looked into in these games , has that something special about him when he plays.
Hope we manage him well and get him in to First team at the right time.

He's a talent alright, it'll be interesting to see if he can translate these levels of display into reserve team football when he gets promoted, which I imagine will be sooner rather than later as it all looks a tad too easy for him at the moment.
One thing that worries me about him moving up though is that he'll be playing against men and not boys and with the way he keeps the ball he encourages tackles and opponents get frustrated by him, like today when one of Sunderlands players just kicked him when the ball had gone, with him still being a young lad I'd be a little bit worried about someone taking him out. Then again maybe I've just become paranoid about injuries after seeing our first team drop like flies.

yea i saw and felt the same way, but after a while i actually started to think and the only other player who got that going for him when playing for us was CR7 wasn't it. We don't have that sought of player anymore.
Also Daehli isn't all about show boating, its just that he isn't afraid to hold or receive the ball and at this level able to handle it better , i am assuming that he will start playing for the reserves next year, so should be able to judge him much more better

Daehli has always been good. Time to be fast-tracked into the squad or loaned out ?? I really like that kid Januzaj as well.

My worry is we will fast track and loan him for maybe 2 season and still feel he may not be ready for PL Games.
Ideally i'd want that he should be fast tracked and be played in our first team in cup competions and slowly into PL games without any loans

Rodgers has fast tracked Sterling at the Victims, hasnt been too bad.
I reckon if Daehli could handle the physical side of it, he'd do a far superior job to Giggs or Nani on our left flank.
