Both The Guardian and Daily Mail reporting today that we are 'monitoring' him. Haven't seen much of the guy to be fair, what is his role for Leverkusen? On the minus side, he would cost upward of £20m - apparently Munich had that much knocked back in the summer for him. Why groan? He's a good player. He probably means it in the context of 'another transfer story' - which is fair enough, but this makes sense on many levels. Young, German international, midfielder, not cup tied in Europe. Yes indeed Jim, but there's something about German internationals never leaving Germany..granted a few exceptions like Ballack (who was past his best anyway). Still, like I say, this would make sense. |

Gundogan is the one we should get. Bender and Buttner on the same team though..... Gundogan is good on Fifa, I'm ashamed to say that's as far as my knowledge of him stretches  |

Bild.de reported this as well which is one of the most reliable sites / newspapers in Germany, stated that both us and Arsenal are interested with a view to possibly making a bid in January. Would be ideal but I won't get my hopes up quite yet..

I could be wrong (let me know if I am), but isn't Bender more of a central holding player as opposed to a wide man like Isco? |

again not seen him but iv just read he's a center mid with a physical presence. liking the sound of it
might be an advantage that he's at leverkusen and all. rather than trying to buy a player from bayern. if he's the one for us lets hope he doesn't choose bayern
