Something I forgot to mention about Xmas in Vermont. We had sugar on snow! Basically, a bowl of fresh snow drizzled with maple syrup. Surprisingly good! I asked about this and got a response from a few Americans and they gave the thumbs up and said it's not just in Vermont but a lot of other places in America, even a Canadian said it's a big thing over there. They mentioned snow cones, snow & ice-cream with a touch of sugar & vanilla extract, snow with fruit flavoured sugar syrup but they said no yellow snow!! I presume they mean that would mean an animal has pissed in the snow lol, one lady said it had to be fresh snow but without any animal paw marks in the snow.

I've got a lovely piece of belly pork in the fridge. It's enough to feed a family, but I'm going to nail the lot. I've got some Jersey Royals and some Fennel, so I'll probably make a nice Fennely potato salad to go with it.

I don't want to do anything. I definitely feel like a man who's eaten a weeks worth of fat in one sitting.

THE tastiest bit of the pig, from an ex-butcher of 25years,especially if it's cooked until the meat melts and the crackling is crispy-shit, I'm starving now!

Seeing the wife is around our daughters baby sitting I made myself some Mozzarella Sticks (7), quite enjoyed them, just deep fried them for 2 minutes and they came with 2 tubs of Tomato & Red Pepper Dips, picked them up from Lidl's the other day, all in bread crumbs with the Mozzarella Cheese in the middle. Keeping my fingers crossed when the wife comes home later on and decides she wants a Pizza carry-out, I won't say no.

My bloody stomach is rumbling like fuck here, the wife has the Sunday dinner cooking away and I am looking forward to it, pork steaks with cauliflower and cheese sauce, roast tatties and then stewed apples with custard and a pudding for afters. The wife is a braw cook and we are relaxing today, no grandchildren or family visits so she is pottering away in the kitchen quite happily.
